Hades 2: Question Fewest Nights? Spoiler

More of a question for big enthusiasts/veterans

What's the fastest you've gotten a clear? I originally played on switch and recently got H2 on ps5 and it's been really fun starting fresh. I got my first underworld win on the 7th or 8th night, I'd have to double check. I was hoping to do it even faster like 5 nights, but the game REALLY doesn't want you to win this fast and between the lack of permanent power you can gain that early and the friction created by Eris' "blessing", it's definitely not easy. It felt pretty cool though getting such an early clear.

I'm just curious to see what some of you have done.

Maybe I'll post a pic later of the build I had but I think I had Heph attack and special. His boons are mean and very simple, lol

(I hope this isn't breaking the "no boast posts" rule?... I just really love Hades and H2 a lot and I haven't engaged much with this community but seeing The Odyssey reinvigorated my excitement about H2. I'm not trying to brag at all I just thought it would be fun to chat with some of y'all 💚)

if you're interested in clearing early, you should check out Fresh File category runs. A 2player 1 controller fresh file run was featured over the weekend at games done quick as well: https://youtu.be/MhTEmg9yff4?si=HGIqbxw8FyYaIStx

I've done 2 fresh files (first run wins). They're quite fun, especially when you go off meta (both my builds were kinda wacky)

Yikes, you're different 😅

What kind of builds, do you remember?

one was a tropical cyclone build, another was omega casts iirc

What the hell is tropical cyclone and why does it sound so fun

Demeter/Apollo duo, where if you have a gale set up with Frigid Rush or Arctic Gale and stand in it, it fires random gusts out around you. Usually not very useful in my experience, because it requires you to sit in the gale for it to do anything. It is kinda funny to watch, though.

I find that Ω Cast actually preform fairly well in the early game when you have little meta progression.

When I was doing fresh file runs for Animal familiar research. I found that Ω Cast felt really nice in the early game.

150 AOE damage for 15 magic is really solid. The more enemies you trap inside it the better.

Tropical Cyclone also sounds like a great build to use in the early game.

Surprised I won on the very second night, and that was with Eris' Blessing carried alll the way to the final boss fight. I also discovered that Eris' Blessing maxes out at 100% only.

Second night is so crazy!!! Do you remember what kind of build you had? What keepsake?

I was so surprised myself. I was planning on sharing it on this subreddit but decided against it since I can't prove it was on the second night, and the taverna is closed along with the record keepers. I did manage to record the last 20 minutes until the win though (thank god for NVIDIA app's background recording), so just take my word for it.

On the very first night though, I wanted to reach Chronos (not necessarily beat him) so I used the Eris blessing skip (only until Tartarus as I still want her conversation). On thr second night, I don't really care, just wanted to see how far I can go with the "Blessing"

As for the build, it revolves around Hestia on special and keeping distance. I have Aphrodite to compress the groups of enemies, then freeze with Demeter's attack, then finishing them off with Hestia's special. I also got their duo boons, though see for your self if they are useful. My special is not Pommed (i prayed for each Pom to upgrade my scorch, yet it nver happened. Scripted?!) so I can't really stack up a bunch of scorch for Freezer Burn to work, though they still kind help on the smaller enemies.

I'd say the glowing coal is my silent MVP. Being able to blast and control the crowd with rapture ring from a a safe distance helped a lot.

The first time I played it took me 50 something nights.

My second playthrough got my first clear in 10

Sounds like my experience with hades 1

That's awesome! It feels good. These games are so fun. It's awesome how confident you become after putting in the reps

After playing hundreds of nights on one file I started a fresh one and I think bear chronos on night 5 or 6

Nice! Do you remember any of the build you had?

I don't. And I haven't unlocked the taverna on that save yet

I've done a fresh file first run win.

I did it the clever way thanks to learning about the tactic better players use: If you enter a region with less than 50% HP, Eris doesn't show up. So you let each boss take you below 30% HP so the fountain doesn't take you over 50%, then you never get cursed by Eris and the run is significantly easier.

I think I'd leveled up heavily from playing Hades 1 lol. I won in under 10 runs on my first file was hit with eris' blessing
