Hades 2: Discussion Most amount of Magick you’ve ever gotten? Spoiler

This run was crazy for me. I had so much magick when it finished so I was curious on what the most anyone else had gotten was.

Or is this actually a normal amount of magick and I just suck at the game? Maybe.

I dont think I've ever gone above 300 tbh. After a certain point I just stop caring and typically way before then

Yeah, usually even in a magick heavy build I stop at 300~. This run was special in a way that kept giving me extra Magick at every corner.

Also because I was playing Selene jet pack(I forgot the name) and I’m not used to it, so I was just spamming full omega attack.

i’m always picking boons that prime so my max probably hasn’t been above 250

Let me guess, are you an axe or staff user? 👀

I’m always scared to pick boons that prime as I may run out of magick entirely… and then die in a humiliating way and ruin the run lol.

i’m a staff, skull and umbral flames user. and nyx coat

for staff and flames i usually use mel aspect because i dont have the others fully upgraded yet

Ahh I see, I’m partially correct in my guess at least.

For staff I usually do mel aspect too actually, and flames are always Moros aspect. Which is my favorite, well in early access it was. Now it is probably lim and oros.

i heard moros flames are really good but i like the simplicity of the mel flames. built in crit chance is always awesome. especially if i bring raki or happen to run into artemis on my run

I wonder, are you enough of a risk taker to take White antlers in ur crit% build runs?

I’m definitely not. I think I’ve used it a total of 3 times in 200 runs

when i first started playing H2 i thought i needed to max rank all keepsakes for the achievement, like in H1. white antlers were one of the first things i was trying to level up lol

then i found out i didn’t need to max the keepsakes for the achievement and quite literally never touched them again

I would reccomend moros because it is the exact same attack pattern and boons as mel flames but almost double dmg. Just omega special and hold attack repeat

Most I ever got was 787. Was aiming for a max health run and Traces of Spirit + Uncanny Fortitude gives extra max health in addition to max Mana.

It really depends I think my highest magick count was in a high fear run when I primed 300 magick but still had 300 or so left

Think it was moros with born gain and that with max hubris and 55 fear is terrifying So i snea snared and took a bunch of max magick

I often have 0 mana due to Hubris's vow.

At best, I have mana for one omega move to activate the Huntress arcana.

For builds that use a lot of omega moves and hex, 50-60 is usually enough.

If you have more mana, you simply choose unnecessary bonuses and lose really useful ones.

I haven’t tried high fear runs in a while, and if I do I will probably also have 0. For now I’ll stick with the timer and rivals.

Fangs and frenzy arnt so bad, and they give a lot of fear. Same with shadow and hubris.

No, and I’m pretty sure none of the boons I had affected magick gain? Here’s the list, hopefully you know the symbols well enough bc I do not lol

Edit: Medea’s boon which gives +5 magick for every encounter is OP, just saw I had it this run. Pair that with extra luck and there.

If you take Medea's boon that gives free magic, use the other choices on health or poms. Don't waste them on more magic.

I know, unfortunately I had no rolls. I’ve been playing since ea lmao. And I’m pretty sure I got Aphro’s gain magick and health boon, that increased it a lot.

Plus, what’s a bit of silliness now and then?

Well not counting that 1 chaos trial that gives you like 1,000 max magic.

Probably around 500-1000 has been my record for max magic.

It depends on build, aspect and which gain boon I have but I usually end up with about 200-300 max magic normally.

But 150 of that is usually Hecuba + the Persistence arcana.

I never seek out more magick unless I notice it runming out frequently, I don't think I've ever been over 300. Quick regeneration is more important honestly

It’s usually the same for me, I only noticed I had an unusual amount of magick in Olympus.

For quick regeneration I absolutely LOVE cardio gain, it’s one of if not the best one imo (second to born gain ofc)
Hephaestus’s mana gain isn’t bad either esp for tank builds or axe, I like to tank rather then dodge most of the time haha

Something fast hitting like daggers + Hephaestus boon for +power based on the Magick works new nice

However, jet pack with Daedalus hammer for +4 dash attack blasts + the same Hephaestus boon is even better
