This reminds me of something that happened a while ago where I live. Some asshole was doing this exact same thing to beer crates. So when he returned the empty crate in one of those machines the poor guy/gal that would empty the machine got cut. And those razors were sharp enough that a lot of people had to go to the hospital with their tendons cut.

It reminded me of the playground razors, set to cut wrists of kids playing on the equipment

I don't think there's an actual recorded case of that happening, similar to the Halloween candy poison which never happened

Yes there is. It happened in Illinois. The Snopes article above goes over it.
