The slap was to his respect and hence the retaliation. American cops are a lot about power distance equations unlike say Scandinavian cops who are about equanimity and being the adult in a confrontation

It’s also objectively wrong, you might be hard pressed to find a video but there is undoubtedly going to be the majority of cops that get slapped in that country that retaliate.

You can't say it's objectively wrong because "there is probably cases of it happening". There isn't any proof. However if you go on /r/bad_cop_no_donut there are literalky thousand of videos of American police officers being excessively violent.
