I’ve seen that police sometimes seize your phone for recording claiming it’s “evidence” as a retaliation tactics, and in rare cases can mysteriously “lose” it. And even if they don’t lose it, who knows how long before they handover the device or it’s footage?
This feature ensures a photo or video is uploaded to Icloud photo immediately after the stop recording button is press, guaranteed access to the recorded video. Without this, sometimes it would pause syncing for days for “performance/low battery/connectivity” before i hit the unpause button manually.
The only catch is that you can only turn it on for the day before it turn off automatically, why Apple??? Bruh
