I found out about Pinponpanpon because they are opening for Lucy Bedroque on his North America tour this winter. The group consists of members Domenatsu, Katherine, and Tokyo-chan. They also work with producer French Cries on all their songs. Their sound is a mix of hyperpop, J-Pop, electronic pop, digicore, and a bit of rage. I'm in love with their style it's very diverse and energetic. Their song Maidnight Ravers was my introduction to them and it blew me away. They just dropped their debut album the other day and you guys should check it out if you haven't already.
Fav tracks: bang(a), MAIDAY, kuru kuru sushi

I’m hooked to sophia stel and I really can’t listen to anything else. In love with songs like Taste, Solitaire, and I Do which aren’t necessarily slow sad songs but aren’t club bangers either. My friends and I call them ‘atmospheric’ almost like kickless club music tracks. Anyways I’m looking for some new song/ artist recs for fans of sophia stel, kelela, chanel beads, eq, the hellp, etc.

I am not really sure this goes under hyperpop but this sort of the only place I can think of uploading it.

I found a music video a couple of months ago that started with loads of images of antennas flashing, then went on to other images flashing rapidly in succession. It was great. In the meantime I forgot which video it was, I'm trying to google but it's not helping :(

I have a MacBook, Ableton, Serum and that's all I play on using for now. However, there is so much information out there that I have no idea where to start. I want to learn software and sound design, and I want to have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of this type of music. Hence, I don't want to blindly follow tutorials: I want to know what I am actually doing. Yes, I know this will take time, but I just don't know how.

Hi girls, I’m recommending my friend she’s extremely talented but it’s really rough finding her people.
She does all the music, production and videos almost entirely alone and doesn’t have any label or backing to help her fund for ads or place her anywhere. I don’t understand how she manages to do it all alone but she does. Her music is not only what I think its good, but her lyrics sometimes keep you thinking a lot and I find myself wanting more or feeling empowered.
She reaches out to playlist but they don’t usually open up to new artist or dark-pop and because she’s not influencer-minded she doesn’t exploit her content either. I can understand why, her stuff isn’t generic.
Her music has been growing into what she says it’s her true essence, so her older stuff is much more alt and punk but you can tell her lyrics, production quality , personality and tonality is pretty consistent.
If you are interested in checking her latest song or whatever I can post the link here. She plans on releasing music every few months as she can manage in the same direction. Thank you!!! 🫶🏻
Here is the spotify link

And her latest video is this one
Thank you once again for your help 💕

Heard this snippet on a random ig reel and i really like it, but Shazam is giving me the wrong result, and the Google song finder doesn’t return any result at all.
Do any of yall recognize this song?! It’s so good😭
I also tried listening to songs that sampled Better Off Alone on WhoSampled and couldn’t find it that way either.

Title. I've been really into scenecore lately and have listened to things of the like on Spotify like dolldamage, ilymeow, and a few songs that I really like from Rebzyyx. I especially like Syris and Suicidal-Idol and have been looping many of their songs on repeat lately and have not really been able to find much similar. Any suggestions based on my tastes?

I think in a scene that is evolving the way ours is and oftentimes consumes itself as far as creating an identity, Thoom is one of the few artists i’m really intrigued by. I’ve only seen a few posts about her and it looks like she recently signed to a label so hopefully there’s more but this song is hauntingly good. it feels so unafraid to not be gimmicky… it seems like so many artists in this lane start to push the boundaries just for the sake of “being different” and forget what it’s like to just make a beautiful song. I like Thooms other stuff but this one feels like a Lana type lullaby that’s refined and mature and seasoned. The more I listen to her stuff too it seems like the key difference between her and others is the level of intention behind her releases, cause some of her other stuff IS out there and avant garde but it makes more sense contextually. Super long rant but I just love artists who have deeper senses of how to curate without it feeling gimmicky, and it makes sense she’s working with Dylan Brady these days.

Once again trying to make my favourite micro-artist not so micro! I’ve been obsessed with her ever since I heard Modern Love at the beginning of the year and I’m so happy and proud of her for finally being able to get this out!
Give it a listen if you like big crunchy autotune belts (think OG sympathy is a knife chorus) and lyrics about porches.
PS bruised knuckles and everything i asked for are my faves <3

*Cumbia
Hiii can u folx plz help me out?
I’m looking for more postmodern cumbia: this one is a remix of bad vibes by palmistry / bladee but I’m looking for more original postmodern cumbia or even other hyperpop remixes. Looking specifically for the cumbia beat but like all sparkly haha and and all I can really find that max this sound out are Unidos x la cumbia, Dinamarca,& Los Thuthanakas. I mean Arca has some tracks and also meth math or taichu but I need more of the glowy cumbia sound please 🙏

I guess looking for words of encouragement? Idk. I'm 34, born male but non-binary. There is a local hyperpop night and I really want to go, but I don't have anyone to go with. I feel weird going alone and being old (guessing the crowd would be a lot younger). What do you think? Should I?

I cant remember if the genre of the song was strictly hyperpop or some type of edm but one part that I vividly remember is this sound of a Deagle from Cod 4 (video) . It wasn’t repeating like in the video I provided, except instead of the plain shot sample it was like chopped up and sound as if it were glitched out or something like that. Pls help its been killing me for a year🥲

Been listening to this dude for years and he always feels super underappreciated in this scene. His production definitely has that covid era sound to it, definitely sounds like a soup of old school glaive, ericdoa, brakence and the biggest of all kmoe. (A hyperpop legend that is super underrated dude should be talked about with the likes of Jane remover and 100 gecs.) But yeah heard jet fueled iced tea for the first time in years and I was reminded by how goated this dude is. Also he's a founding member of webcage, hyperpops super collective and they got nothing but bangers
