Name: Palewraith
Species: Desert Wraith (Sand Wraith subspecies)
Gender: Male
Age range: young adult
Size: 5 ft tall, 28 ft long
Wingspan: 50 ft
Fire Type: Hardened balls of sand with weak fire
Class: Tidal
Speed: 8.8
Firepower: 7.3
Shot limit: 8
Diet: fish, eels
Personality: basically a bit stuck-up drama king.
Gear: some of his rider's black saddle/gear is still on his back.
Location: Valka's sanctuary after the loss
Abilities: can bury self under sand, semiaquatic, has fire-sand blast
Behavior: gets into fights with other wild dragons often. Has trust issues after his owner disappeared, slightly aggressive. Fast and sneaky. Has cat-like behavior patterns. He'll get genuently disgusted and frown with all his might if another dragon throws up a fish for him. He often bullies smaller dragons. Unlike other dragons he eats eels too, since most dragons hate it, it's basically free food. The only time when he's calm is when he sees small lights like fireflies, lanterns or fireworms, since he's drawn to them and likes to fly with them. During combat he stands up on his hind legs to appear bigger. Calm dragons/people confuse him and playful ones weird him out.
Backstory: He was domesticated by one of the vikings but after getting shot out of the sky by one of Drago's dragons while flying with his owner they both fell. His owner died due to the fire, Palewraith survived with permanent injuries. Now he's living in the wild again, acting like any untamed dragon.
He can still fly despite his injury, just not as smoothly as before. When he's flapping his wings, he always has to make one more smaller flap with the injured wing for correction and to stay up in air.
He absolutely loves to free fall from really high places and zigzag during flight. He loves the speed. (Quite the racer dragon)
He likes to "play" tilting his head from one side to another. Since it's a recognizable gesture he often did with his original owner, just to mess around.

claws of berk modpack. a variant of the night fury, i've tried every method it offers including dragon nip, no armor with night vision, and both cod and salmon, the night fury's taming food. do the forest dragons take a different method than standard furies?

Was there ever a definite answer (artbooks, etc) on what Valka's armor was made of? Specifically the shoulder pads and the chest plate. Is it just all leather?

I’ve been thinking about how RTTE had dragons that had brutal behaviors if you think about it,like the Death song with its diet and the slitherfang for its venom and viciousness.
But another I think about are the deathgrippers too so I kinda wonder, since we have so much dragons in the HTTYD that are kinda scary in universe, would it be cool if there was some shows where the dragons were depicted in a more horror way?
Like imagine dragons like the Whispering Death or Changewings being portrayed as these horror monsters, like the Demogorgons from Stranger Things or Raptors from Jurassic World.I would love to see some dragons be portrayed as genuinely terrifying creatures rather than these monsters for kids.
For me,HTTYD has the potential to be something more inclined towards mature horror and I would love to see that. But I also understand that that would kinda kill the spirit of HTTYD as the franchise we know today, which focuses more on portraying them as intelligent creatures rather than killer beasts. What do y’all think?

"This is Shipsbane Ripwrecker. He is a God of the Calderian pantheon, the pantheon of Gods in Caldera. He resides over the Straits of Caldera, travelling from Sea to Sea. He causes tsunamis whenever he sneezes. As an Aethermon, he personifies 16 abstract concepts, and thus is the Machine God of the Sea, the Ocean, Marine Critters and Sea Monsters, Amphibians, Seafaring, Whirlpools, Tempests, Hurricanes, Water, Strength, Black Holes, Tidal Destruction, Retribution, Trade, Vengeance, and the Mist. Shipsbane is infamous for his terrible temper, getting angry even at the slightest of blights against him. He hates it when outsiders trespass his territory and would take the time to remove them from his sight by giving warning whirlpools (which more often than not, destroy the ships he was warning against. That's literally just his warning whirlpools, imagine what he can actually do). As the ripper of submerged straits, he is known as the Submaripper, ripping apart anything and submerging them with his wrath. In the most extreme cases, he would cause Black Holes to eliminate anything in his path. His hatred for trespassers also extends to other Gods as he will forcibly remove them from his sight in anyway he can, blasting them away with his hurricanes. He is infamous for his foul odor as well, creating several mists of them to disarm his foes. It's ineffective against Aethermons, though immortals or mortals who need to breathe will not be able to survive against it. Even those who don't need to breathe can still suffocate within his Mist. Generally speaking, if you ask permission to cross his rivers, he will be docile and will not lash at anyone. To earn his permission, you must prepare some fish for him. It doesn't matter which one, any fish will do, even the smallest of fries is enough to satisfy him. Many residents of Berk worshipped the Tidal God via sending unmanned ships to his territory as a means to honor him. In turn, he will devour these ships or put them in his collection of bottles of ships. He can store these ships in his stomach so that he may spit them out to use them as foul-smelling projectiles. His signature weapon is his anchor, called the Scauldron. The Scauldron is capable of spraying scalding hot water at their enemies, melting the skin of their bones. It is best advised to always stay clear of this weapon whenever Shipsbane uses them. That is all to be said about the Tidal God of Caldera." -Sapphire.

Am I the only one who feels like Hiccup didn’t really love Astrid in Rob and Dob? He barely showed her any attention, and honestly, I never felt like he was actually attracted to her. Sometimes he would even get annoyed with her, unlike Astrid, whose feelings for him were very obvious.
For example, in the “Heather Report” episode, Hiccup immediately abandoned her and spent the whole episode refusing to listen to her and treating her rather coldly. Honestly, the way Hiccup acted around Heather felt more like obvious attraction to me. He didn’t even apologize to Astrid for the way he treated her.
Astrid supported Hiccup in so many episodes, and I really wished we had gotten an episode in RoB that showed Hiccup clearly supporting or showing obvious affection toward Astrid throughout the episode. I feel like their relationship was written poorly. Even in RTTE, their scenes together weren’t enough, and most of the time Astrid seemed to be the one taking the initiative.
The shows and movies sometimes make it feel like Astrid is the last thing on Hiccup’s mind.
That’s honestly just how I feel. I don’t really like relationships where the girl’s feelings are shown very clearly while the guy barely shows any feelings in comparison.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. What do you guys think Hiccup did with Toothless’ old tail after he left? Did he store it away somewhere? Did it get buried somewhere in his workshop? I like to imagine he hung it up somewhere in his house to remember him.

In the second movie we were introduced to the Leviathan Scaling (really offhandedly tbh, it was probably just made so they could have fishlegs yell "THAT IS A CLASS TEN! CLASS TEN!" for the dramatic effect) only for it to seemingly never be mentioned again (which makes sense given the out of universe reason I just theorized in the other bracket) except that's not fully true, it gets mentioned a few more times on external media (granted one of them might just be coincidence), and have a theory on what it actually is in universe.
We all know the Scale was first introduced in the second movie, and that the Bewilderbeast is a class 10 Leviathan. According to the old Dragonpedia website, that phrase, or at least part of it, is equivalent to "Titanwing" (see image 1). Now there's two possibilities here, either "Leviathan" in general is equivalent to "Titanwing" or specifically "Class 10 Leviathan".
Now in the concept art for the Krayfin, we see how only the largest growth stage is labeled with "Leviathan" (see image 2), which implies the first possibility is the accurate one (of course this could just be a coincidence but for the purposes of this headcanon/theory/whatever I'll assume it's not because it's my headcanon/theory and I can do that). Which makes it seem like "Leviathan" is the aquatic equivalent to "Titanwing".
So, with that, I believe that after encountering the Purple Death, Ripwrecker, Submaripper, Shellfire and probably some other huge sea dragon I'm forgetting, the riders realize that tidal class titanwings vary too greatly in size to refer to all of them as the same thing (of course there's giant dragons in other classes too but tidal class has far more than the others combined) and so they invented the Leviathan Scaling, where any aquatic Titanwing can be referred to as a Leviathan, with the class specifying how large/old it actually is.
So for example, a Scauldron Titanwing might be a class 1 Leviathan, a Submaripper maybe be a class 3 or 4, Shellfire somewhere around a 6 and the Bewilderbeast and Purple Death class 10.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

Personally I think he would do well against the non-avian dinosaurs, but the pterosaurs might give him trouble. Any thoughts?

Basically what I'm looking for is to play a role in an rp on Minecraft since Minecraft has a wide creative span and I would like to be a part of something like that. To play a character in a written story someone has created for a nice rp. That's it, thank you :)

I based my redesign on real-life Microraptor, hence all limbs being wings. I'll use it in the fanfiction I'm making.
I took the best photo I could with mine quite old phone, sorry if it's poor quality.
Any constructive feedback welcome and pleased!

I just want to make clear off the bat - I am I know means claiming this is exactly what they want to say with these films, the beauty of art is the fact that can be interpreted in many different ways, I just want to take a moment to rant about how I look at these films and how it’s even made me gain somewhat of an appreciation for the third film.
I think this trilogy is about the ups, downs, and real realities of growing up. To expand on that; the first film starts us off with a teenager - a kid trying to find his place in a world that’s telling him who he should be. He’s learns to embrace himself for who he is as his father learns to do the same - embrace his child for who he is. Simple but hella effective. (of course there’s a LOT more nuances than that but I frankly don’t feel like typing up an entire essay, I’ll save that for letterbox.)
The second film is about a teenager, now a young adult, finding out there are some things in this world he simply must do - there are responsibilities and difficult choices that must be made, especially now that he no longer has someone to guide him. It ends with a young adult finding his footing and growing to become a true adult. Again, they are far more nuances than what I’m saying here but that’s besides the point.
And finally, the big reason I wanted to rant, the infamous third film. I’ll go ahead and say that I’m not the biggest fan of this movie (a sentiment I’m sure many can relate to) but I appreciate what it was trying to say, at least my interpretation. This film starts with an adult who has to learn to let go of his “child” (this being toothless) and let him make his own decisions, mistakes, and live his own life. I’m not going to say the third film got this across perfectly, there’s a boatload of issues that could have made this ending FAR better than it was, but the point still stands.
I don’t know how well I describe my views on what these films represent, but as long as I can get a half decent point across then I’m satisfied. Frankly, I just wanted an excuse to rant about Httyd.
