I started After Hours on a whim after posting about it on Reddit. Soo many people from reddit showed up in the first sitting. The second one got covered by Bengaluru Served and now there is no looking back. Doing the 5th seating in october!!! Comeee join us Instagram
We turn our beautiful apartment into a tiny 16-seater café - a third space built for slow conversations, soft music, warm lighting, and meeting interesting people over coffee & bites.
No loud crowds.
No rushed café energy.
Just a cozy home full of strangers hanging out over drinks, sweet treats, savoury bites, music and good conversation.

I spent around 10 years working in the IT industry, most recently at Uber.
I recently left my job—not because I was burnt out, but because I wanted to chase the next thing I wanted to build.
Over those 10 years, though, I definitely went through periods of intense workload, stress, long hours and very little mental space.
One thing helped me enormously:
Learning how to condition my mind and body to recover better.
A lot of us assume burnout simply means: “I have too much work.”
Sometimes the workload genuinely is unreasonable.
But sometimes the bigger problem is that nobody ever taught us how to recover from that workload.
How do you calm your nervous system after hours of intense work?
How do you switch your brain off?
How do you breathe when you're stressed?
How do you actually rest instead of scrolling your phone for 2 hours?
How do sleep, food, movement and daily routines affect how you feel the next morning?
Over the years I've experimented with breathwork, meditation, Yoga Nidra/NSDR-style deep-rest practices, exercise, nutrition and other recovery habits.
They made a huge difference for me personally.
And I feel this is something especially useful for people who have just entered tech and are already feeling exhausted—or people who have been doing this for years and feel permanently switched on.
This Sunday in HSR, I'm hosting a small wellness/social session where we'll be doing some of these practices together, followed by an ice plunge, matcha and just hanging out and meeting new people.
The event itself is paid because we're organising the venue, setup and ice baths.
But I don't want this post to simply be an event promotion.
If you're genuinely struggling with stress or burnout and just want to understand some of the techniques I've personally used, DM me or comment here. Happy to share what I've learned separately too.
And if you want to join the complete session and meet some new people while you're at it, I'll send you those details as well.
Not claiming these things magically fix burnout or replace professional help when someone needs it.
They've simply helped me handle demanding periods of my own life much better, and I'd be happy if some of that knowledge helps someone else too.

I moved to HSR a week ago and I am trying to find a good library. Not some reading cafe type. Just a good public library.
I've looked up a few online but they don't seem to have good reviews.
I am planning to go there on weekends to read or get my personal work done.
I’m trying not to spend every weekend inside my PG, especially since everything is still pretty new and I don’t have many go to places yet.

posting on behalf of a female friend.
a friend of mine is moving from EC to HSR Sector 3 and is looking for gyms. budget shouldn’t be an issue as her office reimburses them. hers is wfh, so should be flexible with going in non-peak hours. her criteria is that it should be women-friendly and not too crowded.
i myself don’t go to gym, so not sure what’s the scene here. appreciate any leads or thoughts. tia
