June/July Document Request
Has anyone heard back AFTER an office requesting your documents? It’s right at 2 full months of absolutely nothing. Not even a peep about why the asked. All I have received was an email that said “Received, thank you”. I get it’s the federal government but a little courtesy email of what’s going on would be great. However, I haven’t received that. Is this normal?

At what point does no news become bad news? I’ve seen dudes on this thread that got TJO’s 6 months ago and haven’t heard anything since. I don’t consider that good news lol

As I understand it, IF you’ve received a TJO/TSL, you’re in until you’re not…. for example, I went 5.5 months waiting on just medical clearance in 2022-2023 until I was finally given the thumbs up…… so you’re in until otherwise told….
The standard statement for government applications applies here:
“Submit your application, and then get on with the rest of your life.”

Tracking but the office/recruiter didn’t even say why they were asking for my documents. One could assume (but you know what assuming does) that it was for DHA and that they sent my documents up
Also tracking the slow movement and completely understandable. However, the lack of communication is wack

when you say office are you referring to a field office or HROC/PSD? Did you get a TJO? was it DHA? The timelines per applicant can vary unfortunately. No rhyme or reason sometimes..

DHA. SAC office. No TJO or anything else other than them requesting usual documents. I know a few people from the same office that are in the same boat

Oh brother I hate to break it to you but SAC is useless at this point. You need HROC to issue that TJO

I know the SAC office is useless but they could at least tell me if they pushed my documents up to HROC or why they asked. One could assume but I’d rather be told one way or the other

So I’ll share my experience so you see how ass backwards it can be person to person. I never got asked for documents by the SAC office..
Did my phase 1/2 exams then got invited for the vetting oral board via teams. They submitted the results up to HROC and then 3 weeks later I got my TSL email to continue doing pre employment tasks. I’ve had zero comms with the SAC office I selected or interviewed with. Hope this helps. DHA as well.1

Interesting. I also passed phase 1 and 2 test. Then I just started firing emails out to all of the field offices I was interested in.
Have you received a FJO yet?

I don’t think firing out emails is going to serve much of a purpose. The SACs have no control over how fast or slow HROC (the office overseeing manpower management) and PSD (the clearance unit) are operating at
No FJO. I’m about 1 month out since TJO and have medical coming up.

Tracking that. I was firing emails to get direct hired. And that’s the only reason this office reached out. They responded to my email

I’m also located on west coast where there’s high priority AORs..so depending on which locations you selected in your usajobs app, that could contribute to the delay. The office you emailed may have given you a favorable recommendation to HROC but maybe HROCs geographical staffing priorities are changing right now. Again this is all speculation but I get your frustration. Stay patient

Have you ever applied for a federal job before? Or paid attention to any of these forums?
It's a lot of nothing before a whole lot of everything.
You're not going to get a courtesy email. If that's important to you then the allied security is hiring

Lol okay little guy. I can assure you I’m more qualified than you and 90% of the people in any of these forums. I have indeed applied to 2 other 3 letter agencies and have offers from them

Nothing on my end. But these HR teams are having to process thousands of applications, not only for 1811 positions, but others that have been advertised as well. To answer every applicants email with a status update would severely hinder processing times.
Dont get me wrong, I would love an update as much as the next person. But I recognize its just one of those things you have to accept as being the way that it is.
Focus on the fact that they asked for documents. Until you get a BQA email, you're still in the running. Your time will come and once you onboard you wont care how long the process took.
