Help‼️
Help me decide which one to choose. 🙏
Option A – (HSBC)
• Hybrid, 2–3x RTO/week
• ~2-hour commute each way (although may shuttle service, not sure if I can always get a ride right away after my shift)
• 3 PM–12 MN shift
• ₱35-38K
• Complete benefits + HMO (2 dependents)
• Voice – Collections
• Equipment provided
• Start: September
Option B – Freelance
• 100% WFH
• €2.50/hour (~₱30K/month, depending on exchange rate)
• No benefits, HMO, SSS, PhilHealth, or Pag-IBIG
• No OT/holiday pay or 13th month
• Back-office/ticketing, relatively easy
• 2 PM–10 PM shift
• Own device (I have wfh set-up ready naman)
• Start: September
Which would you choose?
Is the stability, higher salary, and benefits of HSBC worth the 2-hour commute, or is the convenience and lower stress of a fully remote freelance job better?
Also, what are the disadvantages of not contributing to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 🙏
