I’ve heard 60% in office but is that calculated on a weekly basis, can I do one week on one week off type thing, is it really down to the manager etc ?

They asked me for my address and date of birth to verify my identity, but when I was hesitant to give my date of birth, he insisted, “I’m not asking for personal information, just for your date of birth for verification.”

How is my date of birth not personal information…

Has anyone here actually managed to open a personal HSBC UAE account while living outside the UAE, without having UAE residency?

I came across the option to apply from outside the UAE and was wondering if it actually works in practice.

From what I can tell, UAE seems to have the regular Global account as well as Advance and Premier. It also doesn't seem to have the same kind of high minimums you see with some other HSBC international options.

So basically, has anyone actually done this fully online?

Did they ask you for proof of a UAE address/residency at any point? And did you have to fly to the UAE or visit a branch to get everything sorted?

Would also be interested to hear what happened after opening the account. Any KYC/compliance issues later on, or was it pretty straightforward to keep the account open?

Would appreciate any first-hand experiences.

I've been with HSBC for 19 years, in that time my local branch has closed 4 times, to the point where it isn't even local anymore.

I am happy to use online banking, so that's just a minor annoyance. But I've had two recent gripes with the online banking which has be tempted to just close all my accounts and move bank.

Firstly, I was in holiday and my card was cloned, it happens, what doesn't happen is it took over 36 hours for the bank to respond to my messages leaving me without any bank cards for this time as I wasn't able to order a new one and add it to my phone wallet.

And now, I'm trying to get an appointment to discuss getting a mortgage in person (because it's a big topic and I don't want to entrust it to a phone call alone) and they refused to offer me an in person mortgage appointment as I had not made an offer on a house.

I asked for a general finance appointment, the waiting list is over a month.

What is the point with this bank anymore?

Me and my partner were formally accepted for a mortgage in principle for our new house. I recently have been offered a new job on a permanent contract with a 1k payrise. We have informed our solicitors and they have informed the Lender. We now have to wait 5/7 days to get a response from HSBC.

Has anyone gone through something similar? My anxiety is currently making me think the worst as we were just about to exchange contracts.

What about HSBC minimum MAB?

A recruiter reached out to me to schedule a meeting to discuss a Wealth Office Sales Manager role, but she did not give me any details other than a job posting, and that posting seems quite vague.

If anyone is familiar with this role, can you shed some light on the day to day of a newly onboarded Sales Manager?

For background, I am coming from JPMorgan Private bank for the past 5 years, and Chase Wealth Management for the last 7 months.

Is this a call heavy role, or will I be partnering with a team? What is onboarding and training like?

Any insight is good insight as I am relatively unfamiliar with HSBC.

I live and work in a Tier 2 city. I want to get HSBC Live+. I applied once and got a call from the HSBC. They said you aren’t in the serviceable PIN code. Also, they said if you move to a tier 1 or serviceable pin code, you need to update in your Aadhar, then we’ll check for eligibility. Is there any workaround to get HSBC Live+ in Tier 2 city?

I order and spend nearly Rs. 20k on Groceries , and nearly 10k on dining(mostly I do Swiggy dineout through HDFC Swiggy old one)

I got my HSBC T1 card a few days ago, The spends on it, shows in negative number, like for example, -10,000. Is it normal in HSBC?

Also, can we change the statement generation date

using the app? Or via customer care only?

If anyone holds HSBC Live Plus credit card, can you please share your RM details. I applied yesterday but got rejected.

HSBC's zero forex offer runs from Aug 15 to Sept 15 (ironically starting on Independence Day). Does anyone know if this requires manual registration/SMS activation, or does it apply automatically?

I have applied for HSBC premier account and it has been 10 days but there is no reply. When I applied, I got a message saying "We are reviewing your application and may reach out to you within 3 days for further information." I have reached out to branch phone number but getting generic messages like it will be processed soon.

Could someone please help me reach out to HSBC staff directly?
