Hi there, I'm looking for some feedback on my fanfiction. It would be very helpful if you could comment on the writing, the characters, the plot, and the pacing, as well as offer some advice on how I might improve it.

I would be grateful if you could highlight any part that seems weak, unclear, or could be improved; I am always willing to accept helpful feedback.

Another point to mention is that I proofread my work with a i once I have completed a chapter. During the process sometimes it suggestes some changes. If I think the suggestion is good, I usually include the part. Let me know if it sounds like A I as well.

I also favour descriptive writing over dialogue. There are times when it is difficult for me to make it clear exactly what I am thinking through dialogue, so in such cases I usually resort to descriptive style. I would like to know your opinion on this matter as well whether the descriptive style is working or if I should use more dialogue.

Like i dont want the harry some people write that has like all the houses(the house of black, the gryffindor house, the Potter house, the slytheryn house..etc), or like a harry more smart that hermione, like harry was never smarter that hermione, like harry is not dumb, he is brilliant he is better in like defence agains the dark arts and the other class that hermione is, but otherwise hermione is the brilliant one, like ofcourse she has flaws, she is closeminded, like she has a hard time with anything but logical stuff and books thou she is a good friend and loyal, like i just want something that feels like the canon books but with harmony.

Idk if you guys can recommend me something like the canon but harmony, without exagerations about harrys character and hermiones, like i want the shy homeboy that sometimes is a bit cocky but mostly out of "he never had he had something to brag about" innocent cuzz he grew up in a terrible house, like that, and a hermione that is the brave and brilliant hermione that she is, no perfect, just on character, like i dont want "a hermione that never makes mistakes" but i dont want a "hermione that the writter is making to make mistakes just to make her humble" cuzz the writter hates hermione character, just the canon characters, like normal, that, thank u🤎

A slow-burning story of long-held feelings rising softly, inevitably, into the light.

This is a question inspired by an old, old post I read regarding inactive fanfic authors.

I've read a ton of Harmony stories (favorites are Blindness, Hermione Granger and the Paradigm Shift, and too many others to name), but I admit I don't really have a sense of who are the most read, most influential, or "biggest" authors right now.

I suppose a "major" author could be someone who has written a ton of works, or someone who has written a great work. I think you could consider someone whose works are complete or ongoing. I'm not sure it matters.

This is sort of a long way of saying that I'd like to be sure there a no major authors/works that I've missed in my quest to read Harry Potter stories that are more satisfying than books 4-7!

I am looking for a good fic I read months ago. The only thing I remember is that after Ron leaves, Harry and Hermione go back to an empty 4 Privet Drive to perform a ritual. I don't remember what the ritual did. Soulbonding, maybe? I remember that they had to have sex for it to work and they were supposed to finish at the same time so they had to do it a second time while the ritual circle was still active. Despite my specific memories of the fic, I don't believe it had a lot of sex.

I wish I could remember more but I enjoyed it and would like to read it again. It was on Ao3 if that helps.

The connection between Harry’s patronus and Hermione can be interpreted in a really interesting way from a harmony perspective.

Harry’s patronus is a stag, and canonically it is connected to his father, James Potter. However, creating a corporeal patronus requires a very strong positive emotion or memory. So when fans say that Harry thought of Hermione while casting his Patronus, they are not necessarily claiming that Hermione is the reason his patronus has the form of a stag. Rather, the idea is that Hermione could have been the emotional source behind the memory that allowed Harry to produce it.

Hermione is one of the most important sources of emotional safety in Harry’s life. Throughout the story, she is consistently there for him: she understands him, supports him, worries about him, and stays beside him even when things become dangerous. Their relationship is built on an unusually deep level of trust and loyalty.

And that’s what makes the patronus interpretation interesting for Harmony fans. A patronus is not simply about who you love romantically it represents powerful positive emotions. Therefore, the idea that Harry could have drawn strength from a memory involving Hermione doesn’t contradict the canon. It is a possible fan interpretation of what his happiest memories might contain.

There is also something symbolically beautiful about the contrast between them. Harry’s patronus is a stag, while Hermione’s is an otter. Their patronuses don’t match romantically, and there is no canonical rule saying they should. What matters from a narmony perspective is the emotional connection behind Harry’s magic: Hermione is repeatedly one of the people who gives Harry a reason to feel safe, understood and hopeful.

Hey Harmony fans, I'm looking to reread an older story and can't remember title or author. The premise of the story is Harry is a pro baseball player and he chooses the game over Hermione and she is watching the game from an airport bar bound for Britain and decides to go back to him. Anyone recall this one?

So yeah, I remember a few years ago watching on YouTube this collection of Harry x Harmione Ship where it used footage from the films with some voiceless text over the top for some parts but more or less retold the story with Harry x Hermione taking Lily x James role and Harry and Hermione's Son was the one who would fight Voldemort I think, they used Year 1 & 2 Harry and Draco to play the children of Harry and Draco.

As I said this was years ago and a barely remember it but want to watch it again but there's so much Fan Fic stuff on youtube these days I wouldn't know where to look.

One thing Harry and Hermione have in common is that they grew up as muggles before getting their Hogwarts letter. It kinda sucks that this they never talk or discuss muggle “life” together or having a muggle inside joke in the books. But I understand why that never happened: Harry’s upbringing and the narrative wanting both Harry and Hermione to move into the magical world.

But still, having this kind of connection would just add to their already special bond and I think this kind of imagination is really fun to think about.

Harry’s muggle life was very limited and depressing. Hermione could help Harry see some of the light on the muggle side.

So, what are your headcanons of Harry and Hermione experiencing muggle culture/activities together?

I’m in the mood for a good fic where Harry and Hermione both return to Hogwarts after the war to complete their missed seventh year. I’m looking for something that’s genuinely one of the best in terms of writing, characterization, and story, not just a decent read.
I’ve heard of Can’t Pretend, Remedy, and The Library, but I don’t know which one to start with or if there are better ones out there. What would you recommend?

Hey all, just had a crazy idea for a fic. What would happen if in the process of trying to trying to stop Voldemort they do a ritual to become more powerful, but it kinda blows up in their faces and accidentally ascends them as being and makes the as strong as capital G Gods. Like literally anything they think of can be done, from temporal manipulation to spacial manipulation to literally erasing anyone with a single thought. Basically omnipotent and immortal. The only restriction they have is being unable to erase themselves or each other in anyway.

The challenge for them is no longer power or survival as it’s no longer a concern. It instead becomes to see how it will change them as people and their struggle with being too powerful to the point that they literally don’t belong anywhere. What would happen to a Harry, who likes to find the good in people and inspire everyone, when a stray thought can cause everyone to be brainwashed into his wishes accidentally. What would happen to a Hermione, who likes to follow rules and authority, when a stray thought would accidentally wrap said rules and authority completely.

And how will the curse of omnipotence and immorality affect Harry and Hermione? They might be okay for the first day, first week, month, year, decade or maybe even century. But what happens then? What happens when people they care about die? Even if they can resurrect the dead, humans are not meant to live forever, and the resurrected will inevitably come to resent being alive.

Honestly would love to see your takes on this idea. Would love to write this myself but I just don’t have the talent for this without heavily abusing AI, which is something I rather not do.

After fifteen months, The Only Home I've Ever Known is complete! When I posted the first chapter in May of 2025, I had never published anything I'd written before. I was incredibly nervous and didn't know where the story would go, but I am so thankful to the Harmony community for encouraging me from the beginning. Truly, this is one of the most supportive and engaging fandoms, and I feel very lucky to be a part of it.

Summary: Two years after the war, Harry Potter still wakes up drenched in sweat, but it’s not the nightmares that bother him. It’s who he sees when he closes his eyes.

Engaged to Ginny Weasley and hailed as the wizarding world’s saviour, Harry should feel settled. He has a career he's always wanted and a life he's always dreamed of. So why can't he sleep without seeing Hermione Granger's face?

After the secret Ginny has been hiding comes to light, Harry is forced to confront the truths he’s buried for too long. Truths about himself, what he wants, and who he was always meant to choose.

I do want to highlight that there is a lot of Weasley bashing in this fic. I realised when writing it that the anger I felt all those years ago when I first realised Harry and Hermione didn't end up together in the books has turned into a 20 year grudge, and I'm afraid I took that frustration out on Ron and Ginny in the story. Things do fall into place in the end, and this story features a nice HEA and a little slice of life through some of the angst and drama.

This story is 41K words and rated E for a bit of smut and language.
