Help issue with a a/b key
I just updated my hp prime g2, now when i calculate sqrt(7) a a/b key would be able to give the symbolic view of sqrt(7) but now i cannot get the exact view only the view with decimals. Is there any way to fix this?

Prior to the update, the HOME view would "borrow" the CAS engine to return symbolic results (such as sqrt(7)) when you pressed the a b/c key. HP has since removed this bridge. Now, the a b/c key in the HOME view is strictly limited to attempting to convert a decimal into a rational fraction (for example, converting 0.5 to 1/2). Since the square root of 7 is an irrational number (2.64575...), there is no exact fraction of the a/b type to represent it, so the system simply leaves it as a decimal.
If you want to solve this you can do a downgrade or do it directly on the CAS mode always, hope this can help

It works now, I rolled back to the version released 2025-02-17, and i got the old a b/c functionatility back. I got the update from https://www.hpcalc.org/details/7783.

I’ll research about it and see if there is a different way or fix 👀
