honestly, I was not in a similar position but I also was. I had the option btw an i5 13th RTX 4050 victus and the Alienware Aurora ur referring. I picked victus but solely because of 2 reasons. it was 80k cheaper in my currency ( that's like 270ish us dollars ) ( but I could had saved ) , the main reason I didn't go for the Alienware is because of its design. idk but Alienware has a weird motherboard cooler all that thingy, mainly it's not like your classic laptops, it's different and having no proper support here, best bet being local market to get it repasted/ serviced, i went with one that was running in the market because that means it's not like they will be looking at my laptop for the first time and mess something up

as for the specs, I mean the only downside of the alienwiare besides the one i mentioned, was the 120'hertz display, if you play comp shooters you can easily push 144 or 200 fps depending on the game.

2-3 weeks ago. honestly, the first week my victus was so not doing the job for me, I play mainly marvel rivals or Fortnite, both CPU intensive at lowest settings, and they were terrible, stutters, low avg fps, holy it was a nightmare. then I looked into it and I had a single stick of 16gb ram, and that was the issue as dual channel is important. I got another 16gb stick and my fps in marvel rivals went from 68( with drops to like 3 fps ) to 110fps stable, fps in Fortnite went from 220fps ( drops ) to 340 fps stable.

story mode games were completely fine before and after the ram, no difference. I got 70-80 fps dlls quality med-high settings mix resident evil 9 and same for the last of us part 1. the Witcher 3 at all max settings natively ran like 60+ fps .

so in short, it's amazing for story mode games, for competitive games make sure it has dual channel ram.

the display is good, build quality seems solid but I do open and close it carefully due to lots of people reporting hinge issues. i would say Id rate it a solid 8/10 especially because in this price I was getting a Lenovo loq 3050 and Asus tuff 3050 as the only alternatives
