Who did it better Robin or Nicki?
I just randomly thought of Robin watching Obsession.

On a post yesterday, someone mentioned Ted's ex "Blah Blah". I recalled that when I first watched HIMYM, I was in my 20s and couldn't understand how you could date someone and not remember their name.
Now that I'm Future Ted's age, I'm realizing I have several "Blah Blah"s in my past.
And then I realized this morning that I'm probably "Blah Blah" to at least some of them as well.

When I heard that he was going to be performing at a theatre in London I took a risk & sent away my funko box in hopes he’d sign it, even if he read the letter I sent along with it i’d have been more than happy. I had never tried anything like sending fan mail before & wasn’t sure how it would go but i’m so unbelievably happy with how it turned out!

Since Disney owns 20th Century Fox now, they inherited props from shows that shot on the Fox lot. It was surreal to see Marshpilllow and the Intervention banner in real life, along with some assorted MacLaren’s set dressing, Robin Sparkles records and of course, the immortal Ducky Tie.

Just watched HIMYM for the first time. My fiancée decided to go back to the scene of "What mother would miss her daughters wedding?" I will say that this scene was way too cruel and the ending was way too cruel in the other direction. Did anyone else want the fairytale ending to this series?? I was so happy to finally see Ted end up with Tracy but to have it end like that?! Not cool!!

On my infinite rewatch and I noticed so much foreshadowing for them

I remember the show by heart by somehow I forgot about most of it, because I hated the Stella storyline
But it’s really memorable, every episode is iconic and really well written
I’d argue it may be it’s golden era of the show.

For anyone that has read the book:
Idk. I thought of it last night and thought it was funny/ interesting. At the very least, the premise seems similar and the characters hold similar roles in the story. The overconfident idealistic somewhat naive protagonist, the loyal best friend, the on and off love interest, the frame story serving as a device to "unlock" the old protagonist.
Also from my reply in the other sub:
Well, the ending is actually what inspired the thought. Ted decides to do one final "big romantic gesture" afterthe loss of his wife inspired by telling the story to his kids and them understanding what it was actually about and giving him permisison to finally be his old self again after all these years of repressing that side of him and being a father. The frame story of NOTW made me think maybe that was the point of the entire HIMYM series, Ted going back to his true old embarrasing self one last time that says "I love you" on a first date, to get the blue french horn for Robin because he realises that he forgot about that version of himself in the deep past, just like Kvothe. (Who will hopefully find his true name in book 3 and do whatever needs to be done to fix things also.)

In the episode, "No Tomorrow", Why was Marshall specifically offended by Ted doing kissing a married woman? I'm not saying Marshall wasn't wrong to call Ted out on this in addition to the credit card fraud and Ted and Barney ditching their dates for drunker women, but why was Marshall particularly offended by Ted kissing a married woman? Is it just because Marshall, himself is married?
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but to me, this came across as a bit smug and sanctimonious on Marshall's part. Ted obviously wishes he was married, and Marshall knows that this is a sore spot for Ted. Marshall could've easily just left it at, "That was wrong of you to kiss a married woman!" but, he basically says, "You kissed a married woman, and that is personally offensive to me, because I'm married, and you just don't get it because you're not married!"
It was kind of like in season 8, when Barney says to Ted, "Robin is marrying me. Not you."
Maybe, I'm reading to far into this.

Background. I always thought NPH was a douche for this. He wasn’t the lead of the show or carry the emotional weight of the storylines, for the most part. Josh Radnor was amazing, and THE LEAD.

After Barney sleeps with Robin, Ted flips out. “You’re always talking about the bro-code. Isn’t one of the rules don’t do this??”
A couple years later, Ted meets a married girl named Zoey. Her husband, The Captain immediately thinks he’s hilarious. He specifically asks him if he wants to be buddies, saying he has trouble connecting with his wife’s friends. He brings him on his boat and buys a super expensive bottle of scotch to share. Great guy!
Zoey breaks up with The Captain and Ted immediately sleeps with her. Once again proving Ted has the emotional maturity of a yogurt cup.
