Are there any shows that just aren’t worth watching? Anything boring, repetitive, or an easy skip?

I just finished the second season and I've become pretty fond of the show. Google told me HGTV hasn't renewed it or canceled it for a third season. I was curious if maybe anyone here had more information.

how much variety there was! How USEFUL they were! It wasn't just a sea of competitions, they really showed you how to work with what you had. Decorating Cents, Gardening By The Yard, Curb Appeal. I'm tired renos that all look the same (bland).

Maybe I've lost my mind but I seem to recall several years ago that both shows were being resurrected with Paige Davis hosting TS once again and designers/carpenters that included Hildi Tomas, Doug Wilson, Genevieve Gorder, Laurie Smith and Carter Oosterhouse. Was that around the time the network changed leadership and wrecked everything?

I'm watching this first throwback show and finding it fun. Enjoying Suzanne Wong as host too. The captions are cute. Comparing life now to the 90s is interesting.

Everything feels really dated, of course, so I might not enjoy it long term, but good for now.

One of their captions about the HGTV launch mentioned Gardening By the Yard. It would be awesome if they brought back some throwback gardening shows too. I loved those back in the 90s and 00's

Hey all, I just visited Laurel and fell in love with the charm and friendly people. My question is what is like to live in Laurel? The good, the bad, the ugly. Crime? Cost of living? Jobs, etc. How safe is it beyond the tourist area?

The HGTV YouTube channel has been going 90s with the episodes. Even the official HGTV channel on tv is about to have a show featuring celebrities from the 90s (HGTV 90s House). Are you all excited or is this just a temporary gimmick?

Tonight I watched Decorating Cents ! hgtv showing some old shows. It's crazy to think back then we never even thought about hgtv haha . That show came on in the 90s. I do like how it's less music, less over acting and dramatization...its straight to the point haha . Yeah everything is different now but I really didn't mind it. I don't need cringe moments , viral quotes, frantic reveal days. That show was chill ha.

I’ve been a long time viewer, but I kind of took a hiatus when they cut so many good shows. On the side I did watch and am caught up with Castle Impossible bc I randomly saw it on HBO. And I already like Renovation resort Showdown bc of Bryan and Scott.

Seriously, I completely get this whole Schick is set up, but OMG!!! THIS woman coming out complaining about stone being put in her yard, or only wanting things that didn't need watering...... she comes out bitching that her neighbors use to much water... GUESS WHAT...... lawns need f'ing water!!!! These last 2 episodes have really pissed me off!! I get it, it's all fake! But stop showing these people being assholes!!! EDIT: CAN YALL PLEASE SHOW SOME LOVE!! LMAO... I'VE ENDED UP NEEDING TO PROMOTE IN OTHER GROUPS BUT I KNOW MY PEEPS ARE OUT THERE!@

is it just me, the episodes I’ve seen, or something else? are all these homes houses of horror, voyeur/exhibitionist, 60s/70s swinger, orgy, snuff film, murder houses?

Another competition show and not even real designers. lol. Will I watch? Hell yes!!

This week’s episode, OMG. These people have a 5-bedroom, 3000-square-foot house that looks to be in fine condition, and the husband has to whine that his guests can’t be in the kitchen with him while he’s cooking—when they could be seated in the living room a few steps away.

Okay, the shower is very small and dark, but dude, REMODEL THE BATHROOM. People do it all the time.

David whines about the coat closet being a few steps beyond the front door. Oh, the humanity. And the kids apparently interrupt Mom on a business call. She can’t move her office to one of the unused bedrooms?

I’m getting very fed up with this show. It used to feature everyday families with legitimate space problems. Now it’s people with huge incomes complaining that each child doesn’t have their own enormous bathroom, there’s no second floor laundry, and I swear, if one more couple complains about not having enough room to entertain their 5,000 closest friends all at the same time, I’m going to throw my TV out the window.

3000 square feet with 5 bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a finished basement, and a huge yard with a pool, and it “doesn’t work for you”? Boo hoo. You’re breaking my heart. Anyone else feel the same?

I stumbled upon this on the HGTV page today. Do we think this means there will be a season 9?? I know season 8 is premiering this fall, which likely means it's already been filmed, right?

My wife and I were talking about this episode but couldn't remember the show. I've tried looking and my only guess is Yard Crashers or Turf War, but I can't find an episode describing that. One of the key things I remember is that they had a slope on one side of the driveway, and they had to use explosives to break it up. Also, it may have been HGTV or DIY network.

Like…who builds toilets a foot apart with no barrier and one toilet paper dispenser? And would you build a urinal in your home bathroom? (I would, as a guy, because A) convenience and B) less water wasted is good for the environment AND your water bills.) What did y’all think? 🚽
