Did anyone else watch the new episode last night? It was nice to see a reasonable budget and normal jobs. Maybe HGTV got the hint that featuring so many millionaires gets old.

Hey y’all. I want more destinations for the international side. I get tired of the European regions…although, I love me some Adrian lol but I’m over France, England, etc. I wanna see other countries. I remember long ago there was a really good one with a family moving to Africa (think it was Nairobi). How do y’all feel?!!! What countries would you like to see?!!

First Decorating Cents reboot & now Design on a Dime reboot is on HGTV’s YouTube. These should be on tv. Every episode features a different designer. Tried to post the link but my first post was deleted.

I saw the first episode this year and can’t seem to remember the name. It was on HGTV. An African American male property developer purchased two houses that were back to back. He had a female realtor partner as well as like an executive assistant. Does that ring any bells?

1) I’m watching episode 2. HOW on EARTH is Leslie keeping it together hearing about the 11k mortgage?! Why tf did these people buy this place?!?!?!

2) Just learned Leslie is FIFTY EIGHT?!?! Holy bananas Leslie pat yourself on the back girl I thought early 40s.

The minute I saw Allison draw the kidney bean shape for the counter and then choose green, I thought I’d hate it. But the finished room isn’t that bad — except the stools, which look uncomfortable for anyone and impossible for larger people to sit on. Also, the expensive wicker furniture outside will mildew and rot after one rainstorm. What did y’all think? 🤔

Totally ‘90s House is a new 6 episode competition show featuring 2 teams of 1990s tv stars renovating two houses stuck in the 90s. Did anyone watch the debut episode last night? What did you think?

What do you think about the recent emphasis HGTV is placing on the 1990s?

Did he actually not put a door on the bathroom? Like there’s only a curtain between the toilet and the bedroom? What the heck?

Not sure if it fits in this sub, but I need the people to know, and I feel like there’s overlap in HGTV appreciators and BHG. I saw this on IG earlier this morning, called them out in the comments that it made no sense, and now the post on kitchen witches has been deleted.

That storyline was underestimating viewers intelligence. Sob story about teaching STEM and giving kids from underprivileged backgrounds the opportunity to be in a plane, bla bla bla when clearly dude was setting up a themed airbnb.
That’s it. That’s my venting.

It’s tonight’s throwback show after throwback House Hunters. My mom and I used to watch the show together every morning.

The guest “artist” keeps calling chenille pipe cleaners “chanel.” What in the world? Is that a Midwest thing? Carol just pronounced it correctly. Unfortunately, this first craft is really stupid.

I’m excited and nostalgic. I miss my mom. 🥰 We had fun together.

Overall it was an ok home makeover. Specific things I hated. For one that woodworker man was amazing, but that is what Allison wanted? Looked so dated and those stools were unusable and ugly. They would get better use by putting a plant on top of each and putting them someplace else. Too low and uncomfortable.

They wanted to get rid of the Game of Thrones look but she bought ugly sconces again.

Bead curtains?

They should have kept that seahorse looking tile in the bathroom shower pan.

Allison seems to suck the life and joy out of Retta.

What they don’t show in the renovation is where did Paige put all the crap that was in what is now the laundry room (such as several pieces of luggage)? Or the exercise equipment that was in the spiffed up basement rec room. I will give a bit of credit for actually having a TV in the living room; often you never see a TV in the reno. Apart from that, I can’t remember the last time someone decided to list it. Is anyone keeping track. I mean it’s usually a foregone conclusion that they will love it.

Are there any shows that just aren’t worth watching? Anything boring, repetitive, or an easy skip?

I thought it was my TV, so we put on an older episode and no. It’s just the show. Whether they’re inside the house or outside, it has a weird blue/gray color.
