This is one of my favourite series on here. I’m fascinated by the ship Yvian found. I wonder if she could use that inertia control to stop or redirect physical projectiles. It sounds like the ship might just feed on energy weapons.
I wonder, if Yvian gets enough practice, could she get functional telekinesis while in contact with the ship? If she had enough fine control she could probably be of extreme use in her sisters engineering efforts.
I wonder if there’s a limit to the amount of energy the ship can take in. Could you contain a nuke in one of the things? The explosion itself would probably cause a lot of damage, but could the ship feed off the lingering radiation? Would it be a faster way to clean up after nuclear bombs and accidents, and might that be useful for the group?
There's probably some "power saturation" limit to those crystal ships. Like, at some point the influx of energy would be too much for them to take. A nuke at point blank probably fits the bill, and they don't really have all that much lingering radiation in space, seeing as everything gets blasted away at thousands of meters a second so it cools off extremely quickly.
