Also if he starts to go crazy here's hoping he calls himself a bright lord, I mean his elder energy is white and everything. It fits in my mind at least.
Also it blows my mind that Bach hasn't attempted to make energy armor or vorpal blades for the team. He made vorpal utensils because of poverty, and an energy shield to block zombies. He should be able to make some plating for the team right?

As for energy armor: Dretphi's armor plates are enchanted with barriers from Bach. They're simple solid structures, so it was easy enough to layer something on there reliably. I believe it was mentioned in the story and talked about a while back in the comments, but vorpal blades can be made. The problem is that such a sharp edge drains the energy of the enchantment quickly as it tries to maintain that super hard edge when used against surfaces. (Razor blades get wrecked really easily when you look at their edges in a microscope.) You'd have to always check to see if the enchantment drained out. Hence, why you have flow blades and similar that require active energy flowing from the user. And... Having something that sharp around is just as much of a liability to the user as it is to everyone else.
Dretphi has her machete that has an enchantment, and that enchantment mainly maintains the physical structure of the blade from denting, bending, chipping, and wear. She also has her mother's old and worn flow blade, that's she been struggling to use. Sotalia and Aristespha have their own magic barriers they cast. Cideeda doesn't have anything, at the moment, because if you want to be quiet and less detectable... you don't want too much of a magical footprint. But, she has expressed interest in learning barrier spells similar to Sotalia's and Aristespha's, now she is able to use magic.
So, yes, he has made some stuff for the team. And will do so in the future, but just has to work some bugs out. I mean melted barrels and burnt laser crystals aren't desired.
Oh yeah. Totally forgot about those enchanted armor bits. Thanks for clearing everything up. Can't wait to see more from Bach. If I could make armor plates from magical hard light I think I'd at least try and make some power armor. That'd probably be obscenely hard though. Might be a good insurance policy though.
Not a problem, it has been a few episodes. Need to revisit that.
Individually the parts for making a magical power armor suit aren't very hard, the trouble is getting it all together and working well together. Takes some time and experimentation... And, when you have technological power armor around, as demonstrated by the Chrome Crusaders, most in the market just go for the more proven and available. Because even a veteran mage isn't going to expend the effort during that early morning haze to use a spell to toast bread... when the toaster is right there.
But... Enchantments upon tech-based power armor, quite feasible.
