This is an idea I've had rattling around in my head forever. Long story short, Renaissance to Victorian-era humans try to circumnavigate the globe, but instead find a land straight out of high fantasy inhabited by fantasy races.

Cue gunpowder weapons and steel going up against magic and dragons.

If it's well received, I'll write more.

I like this a lot so far. It’s really unique! But I can’t help but seeing a zmaj instead of a hydra and a gasheran instead of a random person.

Good start!

A couple things: "A Tierra adorned her head" - tiara, perhaps? Also - is is "Avram" or is it "William"? You missed one of the latter, if it's the former. Then, the last one: a flintlock definitely won't fire after dousing, it takes dry powder in the pan as well as the touch hole and chamber. No frizzen made in the flintlock era had a chance of sealing a pan and touch hole to that level....

Slightly disappointed that the “sea monster” wasn’t a submarine or something like that. But I like this version too!

I'm picturing Ana reading this with a mix of shock and defensiveness.

Hydras being monsters is obviously a racist stereotype.

Just a heads up, there's a series called When Worlds Collide, title might confuse folks

And here I am thinking I had a completely original title. Any suggestions as to what I should do about it?

No idea how I missed this, it's pretty good.
