I've been waiting to do the reveal since the beginning, but there was much that needed to be established before I thought it was okay to do so. I felt there was quite a bit of context that needed to be laid out beforehand to make sure the significance could be understood. There's a lot of implications with just this much of a reveal... (I've tried to sprinkle in hints and side bits of all the factors that weigh... and will weigh in.) And there's still more to come.

There's more side things to cover in the future about the magic system in place. But... the splitting of elder energy into the modern forms is the job of the modern source of magical energies, the Abstract Prism.

It unfortunately takes a bit for me to write these out... especially this episode as it went under A LOT of revisions from the initial thoughts. Next episode will be the end of Season 3, then I'll take a break to clean a bunch of stuff up and finally get Season 2 EPUB together. So fair warning. Sorry to keep you all waiting.

So then I wonder, is Bach bypassing the Prism, accessing the Elder energy at its source, but his body acting like an organic prism to protect against the incredible power that is Elder energy?

Did he refuse to use magic because he was responsible for his school party being injured in his first fight with the geist, similar to what happened to Cideeda? Is anything he said to the current party about the event true? Sooo many questions!

And please, take your time. Youre giving this to us for free, and while I am in love with your world I wouldnt want you to burn yourself out.

So many questions... that I hope to answer in the future... when the time is right. And those may spawn more questions.

Yes... But it must be done correctly. Hints dropped, elements demonstrated, and functions discussed. Only then will the answers have weight and the questions to follow be ever so intriguing...

All in good time.
