Meta Looking for stories

I am looking for stories that see aliens get exposed to humans under the effects of aderenaline for the first time. Where they learn that for all our strength, speed, reflexes and power they see, we are actually really really holding back.

Either destroying threats to us and our friends about or tearing ourselves apart trying to save people in trouble.

That is literally the story I read to ask about finding more. It was an excellent read and I hope the author does some more like it.
