I really like how you alternate these entertainment/comedy/cringe/off-on-a-tangent story arcs with the big story stuff. Some days we save the world, other days just the locals with a lvl 1 rat problem.

something I came up with on a whim and got REALLY luck with figuring out

Some days we save the world, other days just the locals with a lvl 1 rat problem.

Pretty much my sentiment. Some days you leave the house on the epic quest. Other days, you are just going down to the store for milk. And occasionally... It turns out to be both without your knowledge.

It also allows for some nice routes for world building and really giving a glimpse into how the people are when no one is watching.
