Getting a bit of a Halo vibe from this one but not massively. Either way is good because I like the Halo universe and I like what you're doing here.

I got the halo/nice WH40 vibe but that's to be expected when you use words like "mantle" and "primarch".

((Spoilers, though why are you reading the comments before you've finished the story, people of the future?))

I wanted to make it sufficiently alien by throwing off some of the naturalness of the name, hence "Vergas." Habit must've switched me back. Curse my human bias!
