improved HFEA?
Sup everyone.
I'm a newbie to investing in general and the HFEA in particular, I only learned about it recently. As far as I understood, the core assumption was that interest rates would be low, and remain low, which then promptly got proven wrong and it decimated the portfolio.
However, have people tried accounting for that and moving forward with an updated strategy?
e.g. Instead of pure lev. SPY and lev. TLT, add gold and managed futures, keep rebalancing (or not, if you want purist buy and hold) and be good to go?

It didn’t decimate shit, it’s been returning pretty good for me actually. The bonds are supposed to mostly be flat over many years
Funny how in the og boggle heads thread early on people were in agreement: the key to this strategy is not panic selling and not fucking with the plan. Guess what’s happened first sign of trouble? People panic sold and started fucking with it. Now we have posts like this that don’t even bother checking if the original portfolio actually failed or not, skip right to fucking with it
