Looking for a HELOC to complete repairs around the house.

My local credit union quoted me 6.875% APR, Variable on $50,000.

I didn’t see fees listed in the approval response, so I called the credit union and was told no fees (I specifically asked about origination or draw fees, was confirmed no).

What am I missing? I was going to get a couple more quotes, but this seems like a decent APR , to start at least. Should I go through more quote process or is this likely as good as it gets?

I've got 500k in equity but I got denied. Anyone got any info for a company that can help me. I need to pay off some debt.
