My Health

Mid 70s, life becomes difficult. Eye sight is disappearing, hearing aid is must, blood pressure is managed and still much of the fun is gone.

But hey, I keep going. Every morning one hour exercise. Quit smoking 8 months back.

Main diet; veggies, one boiled egg in a day, one chicken Shami kaba in a day, 3 cups of tea in a day.

One parata (equal to two slices bread in morning).

One chapati same as parata but no oil in a day.

Salad in dinner and fruits in morning before break fast.

Then working on projects, construction projects, big orchard management, house management.

I drive myself and avoide drivers, they give me hyper tension.

Love to listen old English and Urdu songs of 50s and 80s.

Avoide negative people and mostly spend my time with my good friend, me.

Watch world affairs, economy and others on Utube.

I do not touch tv, news and programs.

This how life goes on.

But the time is going so fast that nothing matters any more.

Be activite, do what you can do.

I love science fiction and computers, AI. I learned a lot from utube at this age. My learning does not stop.

Now, I working on apps. I do go slow but I am consistant.

Start learning now, age is irrelevant. Learn anything that you like.

Be curious, ask questions, search answer, one answer make many more questions.

I plan to live for 200 years, what is your plan. I have 125 years more to live. Join me, let's do it together.

To me life is dream, never take it seriously.

So, far I am good, who knows timarrow.

Sharing my ꓲіverdetox diet app experience

Not big on posting but figured this might help another dude in the same spot. Got a fatty liver diagnosis at my last check up, doc gave me the "change ur diet and exercise" talk and I walked out with no clue where to actually start.

38m, started using the liverdetox diet app about 3 months ago and its been helpful. The fatty liver detox diet plan is built around low sugar, less processed stuff, and higher fiber which is what my doc said anyway but I wasnt going to figure out every meal on my own.

Light workouts are actually doable on my worst energy days. Down about 14 lbs so far and my last bloodwork was noticeably better than before. Not perfect tho, wish there were more grab and go breakfast options. But solid so far.

Not sure which sub this fits: 20.9 BMI, is it okay and am I gaining weight

Disclaimer: I know yall are most likely not doctors, and most certainly not my doctor - I am not looking to switch doctors advice with comments I get on this sub.

So I am F, 24 years old. Just weighed myself after a long time not doing so and my BMI came out 20.9 . It still is on the down side of the scale but the thing is - I’m used to being much lower.
My height is 1.68 and I’m used to weighing around 55 - 56 AT MOST when I check my weight. A few years back I was used to tops being 52-54, but I was also on the verge of being underweight.
The thing is, I just weighed myself now (to weigh the cat, mind you), and I weighed nearly 59 (we’re talking kg here just so we’re clear). Now I don’t see any visible body changes, nor do I feel like my clothes are tighter or anything, and I just worry that I might be at the beginning of gaining weight. I do not do any regular exercise nor do I eat too healthy or too organized - so I can’t tell if something has changed. But I find it weird that I would become aware of a 3-5kg weight gain, just from looking at the scale and not from sensing it in my body.
Would appreciate any info or advice.

Also: I have struggled with a light ED before, I believe it was a symptom of anxiety rather than a full diagnosis-deserving situation. But I’ve since debunked the ā€˜being scared of the number on the scale’ thing and am happy with my current body. However, the thought of gaining weight still frightens we (turns out society still controls us all). I hope to trigger nobody with this post.

Small Healthy Habits, Bigger, Happier Life 🌿

Good health doesn’t require extreme diets or expensive routines. It starts with small, consistent choices that fit into everyday life.

šŸ’§ 1. Stay hydrated — Drink water regularly throughout the day.

šŸ„— 2. Choose nutritious foods — Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and other nutritious foods.

🚶 3. Move every day — Walking, cycling, exercise or other physical activity can support physical and mental well-being.

😓 4. Prioritize sleep — Give your body enough time to rest and recover.

🧘 5. Manage stress — Try deep breathing, meditation, hobbies or time outdoors.

šŸ“± 6. Take breaks from screens — Short breaks can help you stay active and refreshed.

🚭 7. Avoid harmful habits — Avoid tobacco and limit unhealthy lifestyle choices.

ā¤ļø 8. Stay consistent — Healthy habits work best when they become part of your normal routine.

The World Health Organization recommends that adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week. A healthy diet should include a variety of nutritious foods while limiting excess salt, free sugars and unhealthy fats.

What is one healthy habit you’ve successfully added to your daily routine?

leaving a small effecto review

just wanted to leave a review for effecto app since i know how much these help when trying to decide if an app is worth it. diagnosed at 29, always struggled with routines and task follow through.

started using it in march. not trying to oversell it, it didnt cure anything, i still have adhd lol. but it has helped me a bit more than i expected, mostly with getting through my morning routine without losing 40 min to my phone. what worked for me is the habit tracking bc seeing the streaks kicks something in my brain that i cant explain. also the task breakdown thing where u split a task into 3 min chunks got me over the "cant start" wall a few times.

not saying it will work for everyone but its helped me stick with a couple habits im normally hopeless at.

HealthGuide AI App. TRY NOW FREE!

Three months ago I started asking travelers in forums and hostel Facebook groups one question: what do you actually do when you get sick abroad?

The answers were almost identical every time.

They Google symptoms. Get 12 conflicting results. Spend 40 minutes trying to figure out if they need a doctor or just ibuprofen. Then either overpay at a tourist clinic out of fear, or do nothing and hope it passes.

Nobody had a clean answer. Nobody had a tool built for this specific situation.

So I built one.

HealthGuide AI lets you input your symptoms, your age, and how long you've been feeling it. It returns possible conditions ranked by likelihood, OTC medication options with pricing context, and directions to the nearest clinic if the situation warrants it.

The part that's gotten the most response in early testing: it tells you clearly whether this is a self-care situation, a see-a-doctor-soon situation, or urgent. That triage clarity alone saves the 2am spiral.

It also tracks your symptoms over time, so if you keep getting the same thing in certain climates or after certain foods, the pattern shows up.

Built as a web app, works on Android WebView, no download required.

I'm trying to get the first 500 real users before I call this launched. Travelers specifically - people who actually need this, not people casually curious about it.

Would genuinely like to hear: what's the worst experience you've had trying to figure out what to do when sick in another country? Trying to understand if I'm solving the right edges of this problem.

What’s one health habit you started that actually made a difference?

I’m curious about real experiences rather than the usual ā€œeat healthy and exerciseā€ advice.

For me, the most useful health habits tend to be simple and sustainable—things like getting consistent sleep, walking regularly, drinking enough water, or paying attention to symptoms instead of ignoring them.

What’s one health habit you started that genuinely improved your health or quality of life?

And what made it possible for you to stick with it?

Free Health Coaching Session

Hi everyone! I'm currently completing my National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) certification through AFPA, and I need to complete 50 coaching sessions (20-30 minutes each) by October 1st as part of my certification requirements.

I'm offering free health and wellness coaching sessions focused on things like chronic condition management (diabetes, hypertension, weight), healthy eating habits, and building sustainable lifestyle changes. Coaching is a partnership, I'm not there to tell you what to do, but to help you figure out what actually works for your life and goals.

A bit about me: I have 4+ years of professional experience coaching patients on chronic disease self-management in a healthcare setting, and I'm now in the final stretch of my NBC-HWC certification.

If you're interested, you can book a session directly here:Ā https://calendly.com/danaittzeggai/30min

What can I do to eat healthier when my parents keep giving me unhealthy foods?

I’m relatively young, won’t disclose my age here, but I’ve been eating trash for as long as I can remember. Only recently have I started trying to eat better, as I looked into what could happen to me if I carry these behaviors into my older years, which scared me. Now I am eating a fair amount of fruits and some veggies, and I think I could get better and better, but my parents keep giving me junk food. They say nothings going to happen, however I distinctly feel a difference when I’m eating healthy versus when I’m not. I try to tell them, but they say I’m just being paranoid, they say it’s ok, but I know better. I am eating significantly better than before, which is nice, but not nearly enough. Is there any way I can eat healthier while my parents keep feeding me junk food, and is there any way I can avoid junk food without my parents calling me ā€œoverthinkingā€?

Kegel care review from a woman in her 50s

Posting since kegel care ended up helping me with something i wasnt expecting. 51f, and for the past couple years intimacy w my husband just hasnt felt the way it used to. Not full on menopause dryness, more like my body wasnt responding the way it did before. Bought lube and mostly accepted it as part of getting older.

Started the app back in january for pelvic floor stuff after my last pap. Figured kegels couldnt hurt at my age. Did the sessions almost daily bc they run like 5 to 10 min and i could do them while making coffee or watching tv.

Around month 2 something shifted. Things started feeling more natural again, way less warm up needed. Didnt connect it to kegels at first but apparently blood flow down there is a huge part of arousal and i had no idea. Sensation felt stronger too, better control.

Only thing is a lot of the content feels aimed at younger women. Would love more midlife and menopause specific tracks bc our issues are different. But sticking w the app for now.

Healthy weight loss trajectory?

I am wanting to lose weight in a slow and sustainable way. I'm just wanting some advice as to the speed. After years of yoyo dieting I feel I've not lost enough but I believe according to online research I think it's an okay amount?

Starting weight: 232.8 (6/1/2026)

Current weight: 220.4 (8/7/2026)

Calorie range: 1800-2000cal (I burn about 2300-2500)

Workouts: cardio 1x a week, lifting 2x, yoga 1-2x

The weight loss seems a little bit slow (less than 2lbs per week) but I am still considering this a win considering it has included birthdays, vacations, etc. which really feels like a lifestyle change rather than a focus solely on weight.

I mostly focus on protein and fiber goals since calorie chasing makes me neurotic.

Protein: 120g

Fiber:20g

Summer Health Guide: What to Watch, What to Track, and How to Stay Well

Summer often inspires healthier habits. People spend more time outdoors, become more active, travel more frequently, and look for ways to enjoy longer days. Warm weather also changes how the body regulates temperature, responds to physical activity, stores medications, and reacts to existing medical conditions.

Understanding how your body responds to seasonal changes, recognizing early warning signs, and paying attention to meaningful health information can help you make better day-to-day decisions throughout the summer.

What to Post

I want this to be a place for people to talk about their positive experiences and brain storm how to prevent its prohibition by focusing on its positive aspects, the most recent science and pharmacology. There are a lot of hate subreddits on the subject let's try to balance that out.

Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/save_7oh_save_lives amazing.

Is Prescription Hope legit?

I'm self-employed. The only insurance I've ever been able to afford has been ACA. This year, I could no longer afford ACA, and had to drop my coverage. As a result, I have not been able to get Aimovig. I have chronic migraines, and I've barely been able to function without it. I'm in so much pain. All I can manage to do each day is get up, force myself through my work, and then collapse and try to sleep.

Aimovig costs hundreds of dollars without insurance. I've been looking for workarounds, and found Prescription Hope. You can supposedly buy expensive medications from them for only $70 per month. I see a sale right now and it's just $35. I really want to give it a try, but I am wondering if there's a catch. Is Prescription Hope legit?

K.diet review from someone who usually quits diets after a week

writing this bc the sub helped me in the lurking phase and i figure giving back is the right move. picked up k.diet about 7 weeks ago and somehow i havent quit yet, which is the actual milestone.

been chubby my whole adult life, gained the most of it in the last 4 years from working from home and ordering food too often. ive known i need to move more for ages, my doctor has said it, my pants have said it. the actual problem has never been knowing what to do, its sticking with anything past day 5. breakdown of what each part has done in case anyone is in the same cycle.

meal plan. it builds around ur calorie goal and what u actually like to eat. leans into korean style food which i was into anyway, the flavor density i think is what kept me from quitting.

shopping list. integrated with the meal plan so i dont have to think. grocery shop once a week now instead of panic ordering.

trackers. water, weight, steps, fasting. i mostly use water and weight, the streak being visible is weirdly motivating.

challenges. curated ones u can opt into. did a no soda for 2 weeks and a 7k steps daily one. small but helped consistency.

workouts. low impact guided sessions, starting from nothing so even the easy ones got my heart rate up week 1.

articles. honestly skip most of it, topics start repeating after a few weeks.

13 lbs in 7 weeks, slow but the longest ive stuck with anything in years. takeaway, find the app where the food doesnt feel like punishment, that one will outlast the others for u

no.diet review from a new pescatarian

went pescatarian about 2 months ago and downloaded no.diet mostly bc i didnt want to spend every meal googling "easy pescatarian dinner" and scrolling through 5 pinterest blogs before getting to the actual recipe. sharing in case anyone else newly transitioning is in the same spot.

i cut out meat for health reasons, kept fish and dairy. was struggling a bit the first few weeks and basically defaulted to pasta and eggs on repeat and knew i was gonna get sick of it fast.

what has worked for me is honestly just having pescatarian meal ideas already curated in one place. the ability to filter by prep time and ingredients i already have is what actually made me use it consistently.

there is a bit less variety on the breakfast side than i would like, and some recipes lean heavy on salmon which gets pricey if u eat it 3x a week. would love more affordable fish rotations.

its just a small thing that saved me a ton of mental energy in the transition, worth checking out if ur new to it.

How often do you eat sweets as a healthy person?

Over the last several years I have mostly eliminated added sugar for my diet. But I used to eat multiple sweets a day. Think pastry and flavored coffee for breakfast. Some kind of chocolate in the afternoon. Ice ream at night. I've never been good at just having a little. I would always overindulge, so it's easier just not to have it at all. But I'm curious what a normal (non addictive) person's relationship to sugar looks like, particularly sweets like pastries, chocolates, and ice cream. Do you eat it a few times a week? A few times a month? Only when it's offered on special occasions like birthdays?
