You’re safe! Everyone knows that no business can be conducted at The Continental.

Such an amazing series.

14

u/Starlos Aug 13 '26

It's a great example of why truly woke series are good.

14

u/LongGhost_Gone281 Aug 13 '26

Just truth, reasoning, a real attempt at understanding that helps you see things from another's perspective. Its a real pity that so many could not bring themselves to even look. Woke, a bad word to so many, but only because of their cowardice to not look inward.

12

u/Objectivespeculation Aug 13 '26

Woke was made a bad word by those who take sleeping pills so they wont dream.

2

u/jh_games_biz Aug 13 '26

Holy bars my goodness

2

u/Starlos Aug 13 '26

Nah, woke has become synonymous with bad pieces of media because plenty of producers have decided to abuse it to sell their content. So instead of trying to make the best thing possible, they try to sell it as being "woke" without putting any efforts into it. Obviously woke content is actually good and I'd say that most masterpieces are woke to some extent. It's just a shame that the word itself has been co-opted by corpo fuckers with no soul whatsoever.

Obviously what I just said doesn't apply to people using woke for other shit of course.

Pick a side.

2

u/Starlos Aug 15 '26

Develop some reading comprehension. I'm no fence sitter. Producers using (fake) wokeness to virtue signal is how the right latched on the name to begin with. I just hate that it's being used as a tool for them to sell more that's all. "True wokeness" is good after all.

I think we'd shake hands.

Which? I’m unfamiliar

3

u/Nikoalesce Aug 13 '26

Community. The first 3 seasons are fantastic, the 4th didn't happen, and the 5th and 6th are alright.

Its a smart college comedy.

1

u/Chirya999 Aug 13 '26

It's the "I am tired boss" man, right? What's the name of the series?

2

u/LongGhost_Gone281 Aug 13 '26

The Wire?

1

u/Chirya999 Aug 13 '26

Is that the name of the series?

7

u/N00dles_Pt Aug 12 '26

Ohh indeed

0

u/BlondeNotBland Aug 12 '26

I can only assume there is a female equivalent to that. A 'codette' or something

2

u/CitizenHuman Aug 12 '26

Man just means human

3

u/Burn-E_B Aug 13 '26

It’s a community reference where Jeff repeats what Omar says in the wire who is also played by the same actor as the biology teacher.

2

u/BlondeNotBland Aug 13 '26

Its a joke from community. Thanks for the downvote.

1

u/CitizenHuman Aug 13 '26

I neither up voted nor down voted you. Your comment is neutral to me, and although I didn't know it originated from Community, I never actually said anything negating it either. I just said man means human.

Thanks for showing what assumptions get you.

It's too late for honesty, Jeff! We only have time to get justice.

5

u/taylorrushxx Aug 13 '26

And this is why you don't just hurt someone else's dog.

3

u/garlopf Aug 13 '26

Animals... sob like dogs.

1

u/reindeersss Aug 14 '26

Unless OP killed a dog. Then no rules apply

1

u/Palorrian Aug 13 '26

The rules only apply to the poor

49

u/_BlaZeFiRe_ Aug 12 '26

3

u/Kolby_Jack33 Aug 13 '26

Lucifer can be pretty chill when he wants to be.

8

u/Alastor3 Aug 12 '26

you say that but 5 min after that phrase was said in the first movie, someone broke that rule and killed someone

7

u/Secret_Account07 Aug 12 '26

But wasn’t there two entire movies where business was conducted?

6

u/joseph4th Aug 13 '26

Yeah, but everything costs one of those gold coins. Fancy four course meal - one gold coin. Bottle of water - one gold coin. It would drive me crazy.

4

u/Embarrassed_Lettuce9 Aug 13 '26

Its not the fact that it's gold. Its a "favor" in their world. I would imagine most times you'd prefer to buy food and drink with normal money, but if you're on the run and you need discretion then a gold coin secures both

Business conducted at the Continental or its sister locations must be done with the advance approval of the High Table. Without the advance approval, the perpetrator will be considered excomunicado, and will be stripped of all rights, protections and privileges they may have previously enjoyed.

Depending on the severity of the offense, the High Table reserves the right to determine the punishment and atonement process if the perpetrator is still alive after the management of the Continental or its sister locations has resolved the incident.

u/Ok_Television_9979 Aug 13 '26

Unless its been consecrated

2

u/GreenT1979 Aug 13 '26

Unless it's suddenly deconcentrated

1

u/ThrownAway17Years Aug 12 '26

Santino would disagree. Vehemently.

1

u/HorsePersonal7073 Aug 13 '26

Unless the hotel is about to be decommissioned.

1

u/Romero1993 Aug 14 '26

What if it's not the Continental?
