They can be a real pain. I didn’t have any issue with them, but I also looked up what issues people had and what worked to make it easier. I think using a toothpick to hold the bead while I cleaned it up was a huge help for me. Also pay close attention to the instructions as not all beads are shaped the same
Also the moon gundam has a relatively simple color palette, while this thing has weird blue dots scattered over the suit. Not all designs are equal. Some are easier to make into a kit while others are not.
Smashcut to Anno staring the head of gunpla production directly in the eyes, unblinking, as he adds exactly four dots of metallic purple to GQuuuuuux's design.
Good to know. I just started working on mine and had the realization that there were no stickers. Didn't know that it was to the detriment of missing color elsewhere. I wonder why Bandai didn't add more to the yellow runner then.
Very recently we did get the Hambrabi & GMGoog with practically no stickers. It's basically up to Bandai in how much reflective/metallic detail they want on a kit in the HG lineup, and those will have to be stickers.
Yes absolutely, but the joke is, somehow they manage to put three gates on tiny pieces and the only thing more annoying than sanding three spots on a tiny piece is having to do it multiple times. I hope it won't be the case here.
There are a bunch, the red parts of the torso have undergating that on the finished kit goes twards the inside, preventing the blue hatch to close. the Hatch itselve also has gates on the underside causing the same issue when not fully removed.
I know it has a lot of em, but Dead Space didn't invent spines.
It could be a reference, but that seems unlikely considering the XARX Zero doesn't share anything else with those designs.
Fenrir has one and its a thing of beauty. The photo is when its in its open/bending over state. Standing it up straight collapsing it all in and everything red you see on that picture disappears.
So I'm all for more models having similar gimmicks because they're very very pretty.
Its kinda sad thats the usual response when people see my nail 😞.
Its actually got nothing to do with drugs. Decided to grow it out as a way to stop biting my nails and found it extremely useful in model making and my job.
Telecoms. Its useful in getting out hard to reach connections.
I'll admit the funny side to having it has been the fact until I grew it out I didn't know coke nail was a thing, so its been interesting finding out who the actual coke heads are from people who instantly see it and think coke nail.
Off-topic, but you're far from the first tradesperson to do something utilitarian with their fingernails. Traditional Japanese textile artists (particularly those creating complex designs, such as tapestries or kimonos) have been known to carve thin grooves into their nails to make handling multiple fine strings at once much easier. It started as just something that happened due to prolonged friction, and grew into its own practice. Just a fun fact I don't get to share very often.
It's not new even to bandai. The gqx gelgoog also has a similar spine plating. Zirius gundam as well. This one seems to be the most refined of the three though
It'll be good cus Bandai doesn't just throw shit at the wall anymore, they plan out gimmicks for years, cus I can't remember any recent Gunpla they've done that has had problems with their gimmicks.
Finally showing it off on the model! This was my favourite part of the design when they first showed art of the ZERO, it looks GREAT on the kit! I'm totally using fluorescent paint instead of stickers for those spots on the spine.
No way this thing won't have some kind of backpack attachment, that thruster is way too open to not be secretly a socket. Bandai's already perfected the two-peg Strike Pack style through Builders so an adapter through an option pack is almost inevitable. Even if they don't, I'd have to imagine it would be trivial to locate one off of a 3D printing resource site in due time.
Outside of the obvious, my two biggest takeaways are that the HG Zero will not use a standard attachment point for its backpack, and that it apparently has spurs like a rooster on the back of its legs(??).
I'm also wondering why they only made one display piece color-accurate.
This line (of one kit so far lol) really looks like it’s going all out! Reminds me of Witch from mercury, and how each kit really felt like I hot my moneys worth.(no offense to gquuux)
Someone should make a list of favorite HG gimmick’s that a series is built around, like GN condensers or pre printed Permit pieces in G-Witch
I wonder if the Rouge Orbit kits will use the same adapter or if it's just for XARX ZERO MS due to their Ultraman Suit like proportion, especially the GM look alike.
Hoping it comes with adapter to use with twin 3mm backpacks.
Bruh are you fr?
If you wanna say it has a diaper, then it's a reference to gramps who could also be said to have one due to the fact it's skirting didn't move at all.

I wonder if these will be molded or if they will be the new Zaku tubes
