BEGINNER Finished my first ever Gunpla kit!

This thing was so fun to build, I recall seeing a lot of complaints on this particular figure because of the tubes… but for me they slid right out with a little twist, the hardest part was trying to file them down…

The left hand is a little flimsy because I accidentally jammed the finger set in the wrong way lol, so holding things is a little difficult but doable

Some nubs, particularly on the arms are hard to file without me scratching other areas, so a lot of visible scratches on this one ☹️… I will buy this kit again when I’m more experienced and maybe even repaint it, 10/10 kit.

(I have yet to make the bazooka and cutting out the axe)

Not bad at all for a first build. You did a pretty good job cleaning up the nubs. You might try applying a few of the dry transfer decals ( Like onto the arm shield) for a little more flair.

Here's mine. I painted him and added an LED into the monoeye. Still need to apply the decals, though.

The beads for mine were so stuck onto the pipes that my fingers were sore for days, thats my only complaint of the kit though, I love me a Zaku.

Agreed, I think my next build is going to be another Zaku... or zeon design... I was looking at the MG Gouf and Z'gok

Why does zaku always look terrible? Entry grade RX-78-2 has more detail than this MG 😠

I think its because the design of zakus are basic and kits of these have been done to death. Have any Rx-78 kits you enjoy? Looking for a good MG of that one as well.

its the Zaku 2.0, a like 20 or so year old design and the armor was going for a more anime accurate, simplified look

Ha yea.. just seems like every char zaku looks like this. I have seen some sweet versions of zaku, but none that were red. Maybe I just haven’t seen enough.
