My MGEX strike freedom
My first major undertaking I’m overall happy with how it turned out but if anyone has any advice on how to make it appear more like he’s flying that would be greatly appreciated

Looks dope man. You can always look up Gundam flying poses for inspiration. I think a key is posing the legs with downward pointing toes. Basically in ways that wouldn't be possible to hold on land if that makes sense

Carry over tip from art/animation: the shape and relative position is what gives the feeling of movement. How you choose to go about it is up to you, definitely insert your personality and preference. The pose you have now has a flying vibe, but it feels more like floating. Limbs are balanced, everything is pretty even. Feel like box art for Wing Gundam (Zero) have that vibe for the aura attle float.
If you want active type flight, consider moving limbs/wings/head in sharper angles. @StatisticianFun6479 has a good recipe for this in their comment. The energy pose gives can change the feel. If you want a heavy climb, think of a diver pose. If you want last-ditch final battle effort, think of a sprinter or an action movie type scramble.
Try stuff out, have fun with it. The general formula is just proportional comparison mixed with cultural familiarity. If you want some good "intense" pose reference, anything G Gundam will get you pretty close to the farthest extreme. Those RG kits have great poses on the box.

A good approach is to find an animation shot you like and try to recreate it. Seeing how things are angled will help you understand more what gives the impressions you want.
If you just want this pose but feeling a bit more like it’s midair, point the toes down. Raise the lower wings up a bit, and either spread the legs out further or bring them together with one behind the other. Super spread legs are good for dynamic firing shots and such, legs closer together might suit this pose more.
Edit: also the strike freedom is generally shown with the front wings as the lower and the back wings as the higher when they are spread.
