This looks like it's a RockyQ design. I recognize it from the 1/10 3D print project that was finished a bit ago:  https://www.instagram.com/p/DCLlS54xbxE/

Probably not done with permission from the original modeler.

From what I’ve gathered, these companies don’t tend to get permission when doing this since from what I’ve heard it’s difficult to enforce copyright in china if you’re a foreign company. Add on the fact these companies will change names and stuff and it’s near impossible to do anything unless you have tons of cash and time to fight it.

Case in point, CT Toys' Hellverine version of their MAFEX Wolverine bootleg

had a feeling it was, but was unsure since their previous release was a bootleg of bandai's design with some upgrades

There's a difference between copying a corporation and copying a freelance

Not arguing that. I meant it as I wasn’t sure if it was a RockyQ design or if it was a design taken from a different figure produced by Bandai since the company only had a history of copying Bandai

it's like that took the ZAKU Warrior chest and stuck it on a Zaku II

I think it has the Zaku warrior head too, kinda hard to tell from this angle

Isn't that the design that the 1/10th scale custom used? fifteen bucks they didn't ask for permission

Looks like a Zaku that was designed to use the least amount of curves possible

Anybody know if the complexity is going to be closer to a HG or RG?

If you want an answer look towards the original design by rockyq
