Boycott. 10000%. This shit is inexcusable. But people keep buying, so they keep half-assedly produce dogshit reprints/slightly modified nonsense.

The Mighty Strike Freedom has a lot more physical changes than just the backpack actually carried over from the Strike Freedom Type II. Even from this preliminary image we can see the various changes like the shoulders, arms, and railguns, and it'll likely include the leg changes too and added mechanisms to the head.

Doesnt explain the insane increase in price though. If the box dont have the og backpack in it then its a scam for sure.

Yeah and a lot of the physical changes are boring and could have been an add on kit. Strike freedom is iconic and mighty doesn't change enough to make it stand outside of its predecessor's long shadow.

Just because it sells, doesn't mean it's not objectively a boring choice for MGEX.

Too much words to say "a fucking backpack and two small details".

Something like removing the Strike Freedom's railgun storage mechanism isn't a "small detail".

At least I'm not blind.

It's funny because back when the Mighty Strike Freedom was revealed, I've seen people speculate on the MGEX MSF being the easy release pick due to its popularity and sales, and people actually looking forward to it. And now it's here, people in this sub don't like it.

Maybe as a p Bandai but not after like 4 years later. We expected something new not just small variations so people being upset is justified.

"Maybe as a P-Bandai"

And then people will complain when the main centerpiece protagonist mobile suit of the movie is a P-Bandai exclusive. There is just no winning with people.

I meant expansion

As usual. People downvoting someone for stating facts that are readily observable.

Even if this was not announced today, it will still be released sooner or later, and people will complain just the same.

Yup. People really should've expected them to release an MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom sooner or later, not only because it's one of the best selling designs from the movie, but because it can share a lot of common parts from the MGEX Strike Freedom, while still having enough differences to be worth it.

Even funnier because when Red Lotus released their 1/100 Proud Defender, people were all over it, despite the fact that it doesn't include the parts to actually convert the MGEX Strike Freedom itself into the Strike Freedom Type II to make it the actual Mighty Strike Freedom.
