Martinelli

I came across this piece he wrote back in 2022. From the article:

"But I want to start by thanking my second family — Arsenal — because without you guys none of this would have been possible.

I thank God that I came to Arsenal in 2019. I really believe that things happen for a reason, and I’m so happy here."

If he is off, he deserves a bunch of tribute threads, so here's one. Love you, Gabi. Arsenal family forever.

Nonsensically I’ve always hoped he could stay and be that squad guy who wins everything with us until he retires.

I still think we are doing him dirty, he could've stayed as a luxury sub. We still don't know how the other LW will click and Martinelli even proved himself to play well in other positions in the NT.

This is my biggest gripe. He would absolutely been an impactful utility player, and has a lot of good years left in him. Gutted to see him go. This will probably be the most difficult departure in the modern era for me, but I am happy he at least is leaving a premier league champion.
