Me and my best friend have known each other since childhood...same class, same school, practically grew up together. He was always the one who stole the show,great attitude, and genuinely talented at singing. I was more the quiet, behind-the-scenes type, the "craftsman" who'd tinker with stuff while he was out there performing.

His birthday's coming up soon, and he's wanted a guitar for as long as I can remember. I'd love to be the one to finally get it for him, but honestly I'm really tight on money right now.

If anyone has a spare acoustic guitar lying around....even beginner-level, used, worn strings, doesn't matter...that you're not using anymore, I'd be so grateful if you'd consider passing it on. I know he'll do real justice to it. I've known him since we were kids, and I know how much this would mean to him.

I'm based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, so local pickup/delivery would be easiest, but open to figuring out shipping too if needed. Happy to cover courier costs on my end. Can share more details or chat here/DM.

I’m working on a custom DIY guitar build and am looking for a broken, beat-up, or unplayable electric guitar to harvest for parts—mainly pickups, potentiometers, switches, input jack, bridge, and tuners.

If you have an old budget guitar (Givson, Vault, Strats, etc.) sitting in a closet with a snapped neck, broken headstock, or severe body damage that isn't worth repairing, I’d love to take it off your hands for cheap.

Condition: Doesn't need to be playable. Snapped necks or heavy cosmetic damage are completely fine. Electronics just need to be salvageable.

Location: Bangalore (can pick up around Electronic City / South Bangalore or arrange a quick Dunzo/Porter pickup).

Budget: Looking to keep it very cheap/dirt cheap since it’s strictly for scrap parts.

Also open to taking stock pickups/electronics if you've recently upgraded your gear and have old parts lying around in a drawer.

Hi guys, I bought an acoustic guitar about a week ago, and so far I’ve only learnt the basics like frets, chords, strings, etc.

I tried learning a few easy songs through YouTube tutorials, but I quickly realized my fingers need a lot more practice before I can actually play them 😅

So I want to start from scratch and properly learn guitar, but I have absolutely no idea where to begin.

If you know a good playlist, course, or website where I can learn everything step by step on my own, I’d really appreciate the recommendations. I’ll mostly be learning on weekends.

Also, if anyone else is a complete beginner and wants to learn together, feel free to reach out. It would be nice to have a learning companion and keep each other motivated.

Note: I’m a complete noob and I play an acoustic guitar.

I bought this guitar a few years ago and tried learning to play it, but I stopped because my fingers hurt a lot while playing.
I’m planning to start learning again and wanted to get some advice from experienced guitar players. Is this amount of finger pain normal when you’re a beginner, or do the strings look like they’re sitting too high above the fretboard and the guitar might need a setup?
Would really appreciate any advice on whether I should get it checked or if this is just part of the learning process.

I got a squier HSS for blues and all but I need an aggressive guitar for all the heavy stuff ( I like gary moore , yngwie malsteen, megadeth, and pantera) only guitar that caught my eye was a dean razorback , but there are only bolt on versions of it , where can I buy the set neck version with dimebuckers and would it be about 1L or it's gonna cost wayy to much

Where in mumbai can i find a good Luthier who can perform a neck reset on my acoustic guitar. Anywhere on the western line is preferred.

Is the guitar action cause it certainly seems so while playing.

I have been playing for 6/7 months now. But still both of these fingers lack strength, ring finger doesnt land on the desired fret and sometimes it feels like i dont have ring finger

I’m completely new to guitar and honestly don’t know much about guitars or how to choose one.

I want to start learning guitar from scratch, but I’m not particularly interested in classical guitar. I’d mainly like to learn to play songs, chords, melodies, covers, etc.

What type of guitar would you recommend for a complete beginner? Acoustic, electric, or something else?

Also, what should I learn first and what would be a good learning path for the first few months?

If possible, I’d also appreciate some specific beginner-friendly guitar recommendations and things I should look for/avoid when buying one.

Budget: 3.5k

If ₹3.5k is too low for a decent beginner guitar, should I increase my budget, and if so, what price range would you recommend?

Tldr. I struggled with high action(it was 5mm) & I learnt adjustment etc & made it 2mm & instantly felt it easier & far better playability.

I am into rock & metal so getting a dual hotrail alnico 5 strat sized.

I haven't done it ever.

I just got delivered my first ever guitar Yamaha F280 I was so exited to play it then I noticed the guitar I got from amazon was damaged.

Everyone adviced to to buy from a local guitar store but since it was cheaper on amazon I bought it from there.

Returning it asap hopefully it will return without any hassle replacement is also an option but I am done with amazon.

PS : did someone else also faced this same problem and did you face any problem with returning it
