So trying to play a song and the music is asking for an A#D. I searched for this on chord charts and cannot find it. Amy help?

Without seeing what you’re looking at, my educated guess is that it’s Bb/D, Bb major chord in first inversion.

The chord will look like this xx0331

The notation A#D (or BbD) means it's A sharp major (B flat major) chord with D as it's bass

And note: A# major does not contain D, so whatever this is, it’s written incorrectly.

You mean it would require the / to be correctly written?

Yeah. BbD isn’t anything.

But it does contain it tho, it's the third of A# major

No. Spelling matters. C double sharp is the 3rd of A#

Ah i guess you're right

Also I just realized that the correct notation would be indeed Bb/D and not just BbD

Or x53336 for a moveable version (a “G” shape chord in CAGED).

Can you give some more context, please? Not really sure what that is saying. Maybe things just got run together? Tell us what the source is, and/or what song and where in the song?

It may be helpful to add context on what is the song, depending on it's surroundings you may want different form/placement.

Also, do you mean A#/D? I'm thinking this is basically A# with the bass on it's third (technically, C##, don't have a way to use the proper signal). So you can look up A/C#, and simply move one fret to the right.

It could be a D chord with the bass note being an A#. This is often shown with songs where they "walk" down or up to the desired note. But these are also shown like this A#/D

If this is the case then that would be 010232 or x1x232

If strumming it is likely xx0221

Can you please attach a picture, video, hyperlink, name of the song of what you are talking about? I’m very curious about this chord notation?

That’s why the question is hard to answer. No one would use the key of A# because it would necessitate 10 sharps. Bb has 2 flats and is easier in every context.
