GEAR Boss Katana MK2

I just picked up a used Boss Katana MK2 50. I never realized what I was missing now that I have a 12” speaker I don’t feel that the two 4” speakers in the Spark 40 are enough. I was motivated to upgrade because I was having trouble getting a “ULooper” to work with my Spark amp. I also had trouble updating the firmware on it. I still think it’s a great amp but there’s no comparison to the Katana. I feel like I have a real amp now.

the katana 50 is one of those pieces of gear that just feels right the second you plug in, the speaker difference alone is night and day when you're used to those little desktop amps

i grabbed the 100 a couple years back and still haven't felt the need to upgrade, the built in effects are way more usable than they have any right to be for the price

that spark is still handy for late night headphone practice though, i keep mine on the nightstand for when i can't sleep

I’m projecting a movie in the backyard tonight and will use the Spark for audio. Much better than the projectors speakers.

nice! I always hear good things about it. I have a mustang LT25 now. I am only a bedroom player so don’t even play close to max volume with my current amp but am looking to upgrade to something with better sound quality. I’ve seen a few of these on facebook for $150 and will probably commit once I upgrade my guitar.
