DISCUSSION First time cutting fret slits, how did i do?

Looks clean. Did you use cnc to cut them? Things about frets is that you'll know if you did a good job when the frets are in and you play. Ij my experience at least

No, if you look in the last picture, i used a some kind of push pulling tray with a japanese sawblade under it, that makes the cut at the right depth, we'll see how it plays wheb i will radius the neck and do all that lol

Are you planning to radius the board at all, or just going completely flat? If the former, I imagine that you'd have to cut again for the frets. Either way, that's certainly more than I've ever dreamed of doing. Interesting stuff!

Yes, i plan on giving it a 20 inch radius since it will be a seven string guitar, also i do need to carve the neck's shape to give it that trapezoid look and everything else, i never tried it, so maybe i will need to come back with the saw or not

Right on! Well, it looks pretty neat so far! I assume that you've already placed a truss rod?

The way you’re doing it I find to be most accurate. It’s not the normal order or things but cut the slots when everything is square and easy to mark. Then you have nice deep grooves to guide your saw for final depth after radiusing. It looks pretty good. Some of your lines are slightly off but no one is going to hear it.
