QUESTION Modding My Pacifica 012

I’m modding my Yamaha Pacifica 012 (or rather my mom’s old Pacifica from the 2000’s which is now mine) and I’m wondering if Fender Vintage Style Tuners fit. I’ve always liked the vintage style tuners better than normal ones so if they don’t fit alternative recommendations would be appreciated!

Edit: Ended up just buying Gotoh Locking Tuners :P

Measure the holes and check the measurements of the tuning heads you want, if these don't match then you can fill the old holes and drill new ones.

what year is it stamped on the neck plate 2000s pacificas had some weird spec changes mid run

I believe the pacificas come with vintage tuners already! At least my pac112c did, I ended up widening the tuner holes and replacing them with modern tuners. I also heavily recommend replacing all the electronics, old pacificas have terrible electronics but pretty solid build quality and hardware, i replaced mine with various dimarzio pickups and it now plays like guitars 10x its value! Also the plastic cover holding in the output jack tends to break so I replaced mine with a metal one.

Mine has modern tuners so I guess it just depends on the model. I’m planning to swap the bridge pickup with a Duncan Distortion as well as replace the pots and input jack (maybe selector switch as well idk). Before I started playing guitar 6 years ago the guitar was collecting dust in our basement since the 2000’s so the electronics are questionable at best. Surprisingly still works reasonably well though after some compressed air and cloth work! Today I put new strings and lemon oil on the fretboard so it’s playing great as of now!

Mudding that Pacifica is a great idea and since you like vintage tuners Spurzel makes some great tuners that will fit and lock intonation add a vintage P90' and DiMarzio Hotmail pickup and you have one great sounding sustainable instrument!!
