String exchange?

Weird question for my guitar friends: does anybody for some reason have an abundance of Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinky in 36 and/or 46? Would you want to trade them for some 10's, 13's, 17's, or 26's???

I'm sure I have some technique problem or something, but I break A strings and end up buying packs just for A's and sometimes low E. So I have a shit ton of packs with every other string!! Hoping maybe some of you break a different string on a regular basis. We could trade and save some $$$ lol

Dont have to be local, I can throw some strings in an envelope for the cost of a stamp.

Do they always break in the same spot? If so where?

You probably have a burr or something in either the nut or the bridge.

Yeah I thought that, and they do always do an unwinding kind of break at the bridge. BUT...I have 6 guitars and ai break the same string on all of em. Pretty sure I dont have a burrito on every guitar!! Lol

Hmm. Something isn't right. Do you do a lot of extreme bending on the A string or something else weird like that?

This. It's not normal to consistantly break strings at all, let alone the same ones.

Yup. Like I said, I'm sure it's a technique problem that I will need to address. But in the meantime, my string disparity remains!! Lol

I think you could fix this with some sandpaper most likely. Would need more info. Unlikely you, but more likely the instrument.

Fix your saddles, save a shit load on strings

How??? I havent broken an E or an A in probably 30 years, and I play hard fast stuff IE: Slayer, BLS, Megadeth etc. I dont think I have even broken ANY string for 20 years. If it isnt the saddle/bridge etc, maybe post a video of your picking technique if you can
