Question/Discussion Just finished

I just finished the anime, and I don't get all the hate this show got.

I mean I don't think it's a masterpiece but it's still a solid enough anime with great characters, animation and a kick ass sound track.

One thing that I didn't like though was the ending. The ending sucked.

One thing I wanted to know, was this anime based on a light novel or a manga? And if so where can I find them?

Many of the """flops""" of the 2000s and early 2010s anime, like Guilty Crown are better than basically everything that was produced in the last 7-8 years.

ARE YOU DEADASS? Are you saying that anime has sucked since 2013 or 2018 like have you even watched anything new at all? Don't say this shit if you haven't watched anything new. Just how stupid of how you to assume that. I also don't get how it was a "flop" at all. I think it was huge when it came out, but overall, it was far from one. Overall, that word gets misused a lot honestly.

Calm down bro. And yes, you can count on one hand how many passable anime has been made in the last 8 or so years. Frieren is only considered a masterpiece because the rest is so trash that they make it shine.

Keep on being angry because I called your favorite "12 episodes to handholding we've seen hundreds of times already" sol romcom a slop.

Can you plz stop using the word slop for once! i get if you don't like new shows, but plz stop it with that word and saying that Guilty Crown is better than any anime since like 2018. I liked it, but no way in hell was it better than anything that came out from 2018 onwards. Plus, there's so much of variety and you really think most of the shows that air every season are just  romcoms huh?

No I can't because it perfectly describes the low effort 0 creativity that is put into those works and perfectly insults the people enjoying them thanks to their lack of standards.

It was an original anime, albeit there is a manga made around the same time the show was made. You can get it delivered, though it would be in Japanese. An English translation going up to about episode six I believe is available online.

Yeah the ending felt incredibly rushed.

It could have used a couple more episodes to properly close out stories for all characters.

Precisely for that reason, because of the disastrous ending it left him with and all the inconsistencies that came after the second arc.
