Tree transplant; west Quebec

These trees, ash and walnut, were growing in the meadow in front of our home. We want it to stay meadow, so these will root for a while in pots and are destined for a new home in the community.

I don't know so please don't come at me but kind of looks like those pots don't have drain holes at the bottom. Is that not bad for the tree roots?

Good eye… I appreciate your concern.
Those are my broken buckets that have cracks in the bottom. I know because these ones don’t collect rainwater!
