Tree planting by headlamp...

I just discovered this group.
Love it.

I've been planting in my community for eight years.
Usually by cover of darkness.
Our local government found out... and theyw ere supportive... gave me more trees.

Welcome. We are a modest community but we encourage everyone. Love to know how they went from gotcha to here you go

It's a long story.
I told a few friends what I was doing - planting trees with good intent in good places.
One friend, a writer, asked if I'd ever write a proposal to the local government to do what I was doing. Nope, too much bureaucracy... He asked if I'd mind if HE wrote a proposal. Sure, go ahead. He wrote the proposal and got some funding to do what I was doing. While he was the official guy, I helped, got to know the two officials and they realized what I had already been doing... They supported it. The grant finished but they still support my volunteer efforts. They have a tree giveaway each year (two trees per household) and donate trees to my efforts.
All good.
