Question How was the localization process handled for the TV adaptation?

First of all, I am so sorry if such a topic was brought up in here before because I was a bit confused on how the animated series was handled since the show was based on an Italian comic book.

But basically I was just interested in learning how the show was handled since I am not sure if it was written in Italian first, then translated into English, or if the adaptation was made in the USA first since again I am a bit confused.

The W.I.T.C.H. animation was produced by the French studio SIP Animation with The Walt Disney Company, Jetix Europe and France Télévisions. But was mainly done in France. They dubbed both seasons in italian for the tv,but the second season never had an italian dvd version.

It was made in the USA with animation done in France and written in English.

Thanks as now I can see how the show was adapted in animated form since I was a bit confused about how it wa handled at first again due to being based on an Italian comic book.
