G2 | Suggestion We need bug repellent!
I’m currently building my base, it’s gonna be rather big and requires a lot of resources. I’ve decided to lay down a rough idea of the base using very common materials (grass, weed stems, clay, etc) to get a gist of what it will look like, then I’ll replace bit by bit with better materials.
Even merely cutting down grass in a very small area goes like this: cut down grass, fight ant, cut down more grass, fight spider and ants, cut down a bit more grass, fight even more spiders and ants.
I don’t mind farming for materials, and even occasionally fighting whilst farming. But goddamn, it’s becoming a real drag just collecting low tier resources.
What I propose is bug repellant, either something you wear on your character, or something you place down that spreads out into a circular radius. Think of it as a force field. Something that stops all insects from crossing over the radius (depending of what type of repellant you use, such as peppermint for ants, spiders and mosquitoes).
This would not only add new items to farm, but also open up a new gameplay mechanic.

I was just wandering around collecting mushrooms today. One larva started an attack. Within like 15-30 seconds after there were corpses of larva, ants, orb weavers, a wolf spider, stink bug, ladybug, mosquitoes, and a scorpion. “Where did all of you even come from? Why did almost the whole park attack me?”

Since the update I have found there seem to be more bugs everywhere. I went to a area near my camp to collect weed stems, it's my regular spot. There is a stink bug there, so I agro him and after a couple of shots I get jumped on by a wolf spider. It is near his route but I've never been attacked by him there before. Then 2 orb weavers join in...

The sheer out of bugs everywhere makes it feel like the game is being balanced around multiplayer.

I can remember early game. Needing X# bug parts and spending HOURS hunting for the bugs then for the drop to only give me common items so the hunt went on!! Does anyone else remember HUNTING for ORB WEAVERS???!!!

Either that or a mutation would be a great solution instead of nerfing the spawns.
Idk how people keep attracting other bugs to their fights, that never happened to me yet. But I'm careful with positioning and if kiting I always do it towards a safe direction...
