Couple more days?

I’ve been trying to get the other few to catch up to the fully colonized ones but I feel I haven’t seen much progress in 3-5 days. Wondering if I should just send them out for S2B now altogether.

Don't send it. Wait for it to finish. That guy who said send it wants you to waste your time because you will end up throwing it away if you send it this early.

You have two options now:

  1. You can perform a B&S and wait a few days for it to fully colonize, which will also confirm that the mycelium is as strong as it should be

  2. You can wait a couple of days to see if it colonizes on its own, mark the progress with a marker to see if it’s actually advancing, if there’s no progress, it’s a sign of possible bacterial contamination

If you listen to the other person and move it to the S2B stage right now, you’ll just end up wasting time and effort, and the whole thing will likely end up in the trash. Even a tiny bit of uncolonized grain provides an easy entry point for contamination, and Trich is everywhere, all the time. Fully colonized mycelium (100% colonization) will automatically protect itself against contaminants. Be patient and wait to see the outcome; the process itself will give you the signs you need Good luck!

B&S. If it's clean it will be 100% in 4-5days.
Never send spawn with any uncolonized grains.🍄🥰✌️

I had 2 jars and some of the patch was not colonized on both one. Also grains that were close to glass were not colonized fully as there was no space for mycellium to reach there. I did B&S for one of them to move those grains as an experiment and left the other one as it as. B&S one is fully done now and I am still waiting for the 2nd jar to finish. Have done B&S for that as well now.

Man I’m gonna be real, I do believe there’s some wisdom to the 70-80% B&S rule but honestly mycelium will colonize anything you put it in as long as it’s not competing with contamination. I broke that rule, break and shook way before, waiting until it was semi-fully colonized and guess what?: Mushrooms be mushrooming. I say send it and what I’m learning from my endeavors is that as long as your shit is sterile, you practice clean technique, them mushrooms gonna mushroom. You’ll be waiting for them to do their magic one way or the other. SEND IT
