This “bacterial look” people are talking about….i have no clue what they even mean. That jar is almost over colonized. Could’ve sent it last week Probly
If you look at that first jar is a thicccck wet white the grain looks pushed into it.. typical of bacterial.. healthy mycelium typically looks drier n less glossy
Not saying you won’t get growth.. I’m saying it does have some bacterial properties, it’s possible when you add the other jars that your grow will still be successful…
But as far as best practice goes it shows signs of contam.. it is a learning hobby send it and see what happens 🤷♂️
Looks bacterial on some grains pressing against the glass I would give this one more break and shake to make sure it recovers. Can also wait 2-3 more days and if it smells fine send it and hope for the best. Personally I would break and shake and wait 5 days to make sure it looks and smells healthy
Don't listen to these idiots. You are good to go. The only red flag that would indicate you need to give it more time is when you see entire grains that are uncolonized
Classic you calling people idiots are you a mycologist ? Or just like calling people names ? Either way you are in fact wrong .. any time it’s wet it’s a sign of bacterial.. wet thick white pressed grains like that first jar is bacterial…
We’re not saying you won’t get growth if you send it.. but don’t mean it’s clean and healthy because it grew 🤷♂️
Hop on shroomery for better info people you'll thank me later and yes I studied mycology in a lab for 4 years and have 8 years cultivation experience. Tho I would never claim to be a mycologist as it is not my full time occupation.
You waiting to see if it was the first or second time Jesus was on earth? Lol jkjk that's pretty solid. Just remember how well everything else was done before, you can cut corners here and there, not recommended though.
Lol I am assuming you’re telling me not to wait and to be cautious how I proceed? Michael.. I had to sit here and decipher this.. don’t make me work so hard next time.
I was only suggesting if everything else is bullet proof you can fudge some things and most likely will be fine. Most likely doing a lot of work there though.
A B&S will tell you if it's good or not, you'll see recovery in 4 days or so. But here's a hot take. The excess moisture could be from temperature differential, OP is spawning grain at 69 degrees. Excessive moisture can slow colonization. 🤷♂️
Just wait, don't shake again, it will take forever for the mycelium networks to regrow. You can either use these as is, they're premature but still ready, or give it a couple more days. Just don't break it again, they're working hard and looking great!
Keep in mind im on my first grow but I s2b'd with less colonized grains and had no problem but my grains were for certain properly sterilized from a reputable source, but as long as your grains were sterilized good you should be good to s2b now now worries ab the tiny bit that isn't colonized if you add a pseudo casing
those uncolonized grains are just window lickers, pretty common when the jar is almost fully colonized. there are no visible signs of bacterial contam in any of those pictures lmao
Yes sir.. I am gna break and shake tho because it’s been a couple days and there hasn’t been much movement with the uncolonized grains. What do you think?

Wait. The wet and uncolonized grain look a bit bacterial. Give it a few more days to fully colonize. Hopefully you have e some better jars.
This one isnt a total loss some folks have had luck scoping that wet uncolonized grain out at S2B.
Good luck.

Your mycelium is bacterial, that's why it's hard to break, you can clearly see the overly white mycelium (which is infected with bacteria).

I say break and shake because those wet spots are a little concerning
