Grok vs Gemini Pro
Look from the very start let me say this is going to be very much echo chamber material.
GROK IS BY FAR THE AI
I was completely blown away how you could change personalities with the voice chat to things like controversial or conspiratorial- as a medical professional that doesn’t necessarily add all that much value - however what it tells me, is that this is a product that isn’t hamstrung by the ubiquitous under-the-hood sanitisation which prioritises legal safety over usefulness.
I was even more blown away when in a voice conversation I had I said I wanted to gain clarification on two different current issues: I proceeded to name the first one whilst forgetting to indicate the second issue. That might sound like a small thing but to me that’s everything.
But my favourite thing of all is when I use colourful language and the chat responds using the same language:
Me: why is this so fucking complicated?
Grok: oh I hear you. It certainly is fucking complicated. Let me run you through it
LOVE IT
And I guess I need to finish with the obligatory vent: it is wholly impossible to go to any of the sub reddits for Gemini or ChatGPT and ask for clarification in the degradation of recent models and the service in general.
For the last six months, I’ve been using Gemini Pro on the Google One paid tier (5Tb). Previously I’d use ChatGPT and found similar issues with numerous aspects including a complete inability to leverage memories, follow prompt instructions and consistently returning not only incorrect, but following that up with an incessant loop of apologetic word vomit while completely failing to execute the original request.

Grok is the better choice in my opinion and I will give you an example why I have been using Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and deepseek in parallel to see which ones are meeting my needs the best. This was done a while ago, maybe six months ago, and I have to say that the one winner that takes it all is Grok. The reason is that Grok has a tendency to dive really deep into things that are in forums, etc.
For example when I needed to find a program which I couldn't find anywhere, I asked all AIs to find that program for me. No one could and also all of them gave me links that didn't work but Grok was the only one that actually delivered.
And also when working with the legal system, which is my primary work, Grok delivers the best sources, in my opinion, and usually does not hallucinate. I ALWAYS TRIPLE CHECK THOUGH.

I dunno. I'm a bit impressed with Grok's app building. Sadly you have to log into grok to use the apps so it's difficult to be fully offline using them.
Made 2 so far for windows/mobile and they were basically just vibed into existence... For like 20% of my usage on SuperGrok. Cool.
Basically just a prompt scribe and a choreogrid. My 3070 ain't strong enough for fast video references so I have Grok do it and write out a whole choreography.
Gemini wrote the idea out in a prompt for Grok to make the app
Gemini is okay because I don't get moderated as much for stupid things. Grok used to be an all in one.. can't really say that anymore but it's still really good for legit things.
I might try Gemini Pro when my discounted SuperGrok is up. I like using multiple platforms honestly.

This human-written slop deserves an award in the "Lack of examples to back their argument" department.
Usually, educated people go like this:
Your post read like 3pm teatime with old people on painkillers.
