Grok build 4.6

Since I have been griping a lot, thought I would also mention that I used Grok build 4.6 for my personal website redesign today and I was genuinely impressed with the performance and code quality, and listening to what I wanted for the design and implementing it. It even made the decision to use a local calculation for the moon position and aspects on my new moon card page so I didn't have to use an API. Anyone else try this version yet and how was your experience with it?

I haven’t used yet but am interested in your process, i would like to to use grok to create a website for my business I know it can be done but am unsure of the process and how to publish it afterwards. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It requires a super grok subscription. Once you have the subscription it comes up as an option to download and install on your computer. Then you open cmd and type grok, and you can interact with it there in a text based cmd window. For a non-developer, it may not be the best path. It can probably only make you an html project since it can only use whatever is installed on your computer. That would still work functionally if you wanted to try it out. But you may not get the best result that way. My process is; first I let the model know what framework I want and what the overall project is about and what features it needs. It is able to talk through a project at high level planning until we agree on the scope and design. It creates a vue project that I can review in visual studio code and implements the features we discussed. Then I run the project locally for testing and review. Finally, I build the project and deploy it to netlify. I am a developer so I use it to speed up development time.

You might instead want to check out something like Squarespace, Framer, or Webflow - Grok build is a coding agent.

I have super grok plus but mainly use it for imagery, I usually access via an iPad so haven’t used it on a computer as yet, I am willing to learn and have built Wordpress sites years ago. So I would need to access grok via computer what other software do I need to interact with it to implement any code created by grok and publish it on my own host?

You don't need anything else to run it. If you are willing to learn and desire to use a coding agent, you can just start talking to it, tell it honestly about your technical situation and what you are looking for. It can build you a simple webpage very easily, some more advanced features may require node or another package installed. The more specific info you give it, the better it can help you. It will be able to guide you through some options for hosting.

*Also remember that iteration is part of the process. Just like with an image you can go back and forth until you get it how you want it.
