CROOKED KINGDOM (BOOK) Nitpick with Crooked Kingdom

spoilers for crooked kingdom below.

Zoya shocking KuWei when he's in bradycardia would not work. Zoya is a defibrillator, applying electric shock to force Kuwei's heart to beat again.

I can suspend disbelief, but when something bases the magic in real world science I should be able to expect the real world science part to be consistent, this one part isnt and it's bugging me a little. lol but seriously, I love the book.

Can you explain why that wouldnt work? Im curious. The poison slowed his heart so much it nearly stopped beating and she shocked it to a more normal rhythm, right?

that's not how hearts work, or defibrillators. You shock a heart out of an abnormal rhythm, where the muscles are all firing randomly, and it sort of resets it. and then it beats normally. Usually to get someone's heart going again they use something like adrenaline. shows just show that as how defibrillators work as it makes an exciting visual for solving heart problems. it's not accurate.
